Commercial Finance Business Partner (m/f/d)

The Commercial Finance Business Partner serves as the day-to-day Finance point of contact for Marketing, Sales and other support functions, embedding Finance into commercial initiatives from the earliest stages. The role provides timely financial guidance and constructive challenge to support sound business decisions, robust investment cases and effective resource allocation. It strengthens governance through appropriate controls, budget and project KPI monitoring, and continuous improvement in commercial performance and outcomes.

Position:

As the Commercial Finance Business Partner, you will:

Act as the primary Finance partner for assigned commercial functions, providing ongoing financial advice, constructive challenge and actionable insights to support decision-making and value creation
Provide financial input for BAP (Business Approval Process) Memos and other investment proposals, validating assumptions, assessing risks and returns, and ensuring business cases are robust, complete and aligned with strategic priorities
Support budget allocation setup, forecasting, tracking and follow-up activities, monitor project KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and financial performance, identify variances and recommend timely corrective actions
Design and implement proportionate control mechanisms for new initiatives and commercial activations, ensuring compliance with Finance policies, clear accountability and appropriate documentation
Partner with Marketing, Sales and other support functions throughout the project lifecycle, improving financial discipline, transparency and ways of working across an expanding portfolio of commercial initiatives

Requirements:

University degree, with an advanced financial qualification considered an advantage
At least 5 years of relevant professional financial management experience, with a proven track record of commercial engagement and results
Cross-functional experience considered a plus
High level of English
Strong analytical skills, a self-starter approach, commercial mindset and ability to generate insights
Ability to communicate effectively with peers at all levels and across functions, influence agendas and create ambitious operational and strategic plans
Well-structured mindset combined with a high degree of agility and flexibility
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
SAP (Systems, Applications and Products in Data Processing) and Power BI (Business Intelligence) experience considered a plus
Active interest in new technologies and applications, including artificial intelligence (AI)
