Finance Manager GTR

Purpose of the role:

This position provides financial support to the assigned region in Global Travel Retail in the area of Accounting, FP&A, controlling, and business decision support, to help achieve the region's strategic objectives and financial targets, in line with JTI Policies, Operating Guidelines and Local regulatory requirements for both short and long term financial objectives. 

This position plays a key role in supporting management decision making and ensuring maximum business efficiency. Major focus areas are:
-  actual performance analysis, financial planning  and market performance reporting; 
-  effective control on all P&L lines with focus on Volumes, Revenue, COGS and Marketing.
-  financial advice on business initiatives, analytical/interpretive services for continuous business efficiency and improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Planning & forecasting:
  Support GTR Financial planning exercises validating business plans with assigned Market owners; perform and review inputs;  understand and comment on relevant P&L variances;
• Actuals control and performance analysis:
  Monitor actual results to ensure accuracy 
  Analyse actual performance, alert management of any deviation and coordinate any required action
  Support the preparation of month-end and quarter-end accruals
  Manage actual postings, reclassifications and corrections as required;
• Accounting Operation - Order to Cash:
  Responsible for pricing process - internal review and approval support, coordination of timely pricing communiaction.  Manages Customer master data process for the entities in hub.  Issues credit and debit notes to customers.  Resolve accounting inconsistencies with the incumbent entities. Responsible for the accurate recording of volume, revenue and COGS;
• Accounting Operation - Procure to Pay:
  Resolve accounting inconsistencies related to vendors with the accounts payable team;
• Accounting Operation - Record to Report:
  Responsible for the financial accuracy of  the market P&L.  Manages month-end & quarterly closing and Interco billings;
• Reporting and analysis:
  Prepare standard formats (LE/ASP formats, actual CFO communication) and ad hoc profitability analysis 
  Liaise with all relevant internal stakeholders, develop/prepare management reporting and provide analytical & interpretative services for business improvements;
• Business Support - Regional Travel Retail Sales Function:
  Performs financial analysis, profitability studies, business plans development to drive optimal financial performance for market assigned.
  Act as supporter/challenger on Volumes, Revenue COGS and Marketing P&L lines, understand market dynammics and prodive explanations for variances. Facilitate the implementation of new price structures as well as other ad-hoc projects. Assess the financial impact and coordinate the submission of the required Bap/Memos for the Hub.     Responsible to request the setup of new customers and to maintain customer database in our core systems;                                                                                                Compliance:
  Support Commercial Finance Manager GTR with oversight of various transactions in compliance with JTI and GTR Policy and Procedures. Facilitate the implementation of controls in coordination with the Compliance Manager GTR.

Qualifications:

• University degree in Finance/Economics or equivalent commercial degree. Financial certification (CIMA, ACCA, CPA, etc.) is a plus;
• 5 years + working experience in Finance, preferably in FMCG companies;  ERP (SAP) and planning analytics systems with advanced user experience;
• Good spoken/written English, Good spoken Spanish is a plus.
