Logistics Manager

 

 

Purpose of the role:

 

 

The Logistics Manager is responsible for the end‑to‑end ownership of logistics planning, execution, and performance for the Spanish market. The role ensures market continuity, regulatory compliance, inventory control & optimization, and cost efficiency, acting as a key contact to the market and as the main interface between Sales, Marketing, Finance, Distributor, and Global Supply Chain (GSC).
Operating in a highly complex market environment, the role requires strong ownership, cross-functional coordination, and high accountability to ensure alignment between demand, supply, and execution.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

As a logistics manager you will: 

 

Demand, Supply & Inventory Management:

 

  • Translate commercial forecasts into executable supply and logistics plans
  • Ensure alignment across S&OP cycles and key business assumptions
  • Define and manage inventory strategies (coverage, ageing, free cash flow)
  • Identify supply risks and drive mitigation actions
  • Ensure readiness for price changes, launches, and commercial initiatives

 

Distributor & Market Execution Management

 

  • Own operational relationship with distributor ensuring execution excellence
  • Monitor inbound flows, stocks, and service performance
  • Manage and resolve execution issues and supply disruptions
  • Drive continuous alignment between distributor operations and market needs

 

Regulatory, Tax Stamp & Compliance Accountability

 

  • Ensure full compliance with Track & Trace, tax stamps, and local regulations
  • Guarantee adherence to QMS, audit requirements, and internal controls
  • Act as key contact for audits and compliance topics within logistics scope

 

Performance Management & Continuous Improvement

 

  • Monitor logistics performance (service, stock, write-offs, cost)
  • Identify optimization opportunities and drive efficiency initiatives
  • Contribute to process harmonization across Iberia cluster
  • Support automation and digitalization (reporting, planning tools)

 

Data Integrity, Planning Governance & Reporting

 

  • Own logistics data accuracy and consistency across planning systems
  • Ensure integrity of IBP / SAP planning cycles
  • Validate key data shared with Finance, GSC, and stakeholders
  • Act as data owner for logistics in Spain

 

Requirements: 

 

  • University degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Finance or similar
  • 5–8+ years in logistics / supply planning / supply chain roles
  • English required
  • Spanish is an advantage
  • SAP (IBP / planning tools) & advanced Excel
  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset
  • Cross-functional stakeholder management
  • Ability to manage complexity and fast-changing environments
  • Experience with Power BI / reporting automation is a plus
