             Governance & Platform Architecture Manager 

Purpose:

This position exists within the Digital Technology Department, inside the Global Development Center (GDC), within
the DIGITAL and IT function, supporting the DES ecosystem.
Platform & Architecture Governance Manager  is responsible for defining, governing, and consistently applying
cross‑cutting application architecture standards related to: Application runtime & platform foundations within DES,
Identity and access integration patterns (in alignment with central IAM strategy), Application performance, resilience,
and observability, Secure‑by‑design application architecture (in alignment with central Security strategy)
The role does not own IAM nor Security strategies, but ensures that DES applications correctly adopt, integrate, and
comply with them. The position works in close day‑to‑day cooperation with central IAM and Security teams and acts
as the architectural bridge between those teams and DES delivery streams.

Responsibilities :

• Application Platform Architecture (DES)
  Define and evolve application platform and runtime architecture standards within DES
  Ensure consistency of non‑functional foundations across DES applications
  Promote reuse and standardization of platform patterns
• Identity & Access Integration Alignment
  Apply and operationalize centrally defined IAM strategies within DES applications
  Ensure correct implementation of authentication and authorization patternsAct as architectural liaison between DES teams and IAM team 
• Performance, Resilience & Observability
  Define architectural standards for scalability, availability, and resilience
  Ensure non‑functional requirements are addressed early in designPromote consistent observability and monitoring approaches 
• Security Architecture Adoption
  Apply central Security standards and secure‑by‑design principles
  Ensure application architectures comply with security requirementsCollaborate with Security teams on reviews, risk assessments, and incidents 
• Architecture Governance & Cross‑Team Collaboration
  Review and validate application designs within DES scope
  Work closely with Frontend, Backend, Magento, Integration, DevOps teamsSupport incident root‑cause analysis and non‑functional improvements 

Requirements :

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent strong IT background
• 8 + years of experience in application, platform, or solution architecture
• Proven experience covering non‑functional architecture domains
• Application Platform Architecture (DES scope)
• Application runtime patterns and deployment models within DES

Annual Base Salary: Eur Eur 66 300 – 78 800 gross/year
