Digital Innovation Manager
What this position is about – Purpose:
In this role, you’ll lead the development of our future digital capabilities through AI consumer facing and internal facing roadmaps and support the deployment of true consumer centric omnichannel journeys. You will work under the umbrella of DES Next Gen (Digital EcoSystem) and will ensure our roadmap is informed by data, validated with consumers, and scalable across markets.
As the Manager, Digital Innovation, you will help evolve our ecosystem from product-centred capabilities to consumer-journey-driven experiences. Your purpose is to translate strategic intent into test-and-learn delivery that markets can adopt and scale. You’ll keep a close pulse on AI and emerging tech, yet stay pragmatic—prioritising initiatives that demonstrably improve acquisition, conversion and retention.
You will coordinate a cross-functional “fusion” team to deliver four focus streams that build directly on our original mandate while sharpening execution:
1. Multi-category consumer journeys that are fully functional end-to-end (from discovery to service),
2. Targeted AI use cases that lift efficiency and effectiveness (e.g., agentic use cases, content ops, decisioning, support).
Working outside-in, you’ll ensure initiatives are consumer-validated through structured testing, and you’ll improve our technology demand management into an experience roadmap co-created with markets and steered by outcomes. This is a hands-on delivery role that leads cross-functional execution and stakeholder alignment.
What will you do - Responsibilities:
• DES Next Gen AI Leadership: Support ownership of the end 2 end project delivery, in collaboration with the core team, our markets and key external partners. Ultimate responsible for the on-time & accurate deliverable of the defined goals.
• Multicategory Thinking: Drive a multi‑category, mobile‑first experience vision for Acquisition and Retention. Define the rolling roadmap for 2/3/5 years
• DES Next Gen Prototyping: Responsible for the definition & delivery, through our internal IT and external partners, of fully functional consumer ready products, based on a well defined ambition.
• Operating Models: Define and embed fit-for-purpose operating models, including the right mix of internal and external partners, to enable the right deployment of Next Gen at scale
• Technology and Digital Transformation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate digital solutions into our future digital consumer experience. Lead the exploration and implementation of new technologies and partner with IT and external tech vendors to develop digital solutions, including AI-driven agentic services & synthetic data use cases
Whom are we looking for – Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree is required. Master’s or MBA is strongly preferred
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Brand Marketing, Digital Transformation or Consumer experience roles, with a strong record of driving strategic transformational initiatives with a Consumer First lense.
• Experience in consumer goods, tobacco, or regulated industries preferred
• Experience in brand building fundamentals, processes & tools
• Good understanding of Omnichannel ecosystem in a business context and how various offline & online touchpoints integrate and synergize to deliver best consumer experience to achieve business outcomes
• Experience in driving digital innovation and advancing the agenda across the organization.
• Proven track record managing complex, multi-stakeholder global initiatives ($50M+ budgets)
• English Fluent. Spanish is a plus.
