Translate Brands strategies and plans into Visibility program at POS in Portugal for all JTI portfolio (Combustible & RRP), working very closely with Brands and Field Force to ensure a successful implementation, controlling and optimizing the budget.

Participate in the Visibility strategy definition and propose adequate category management vision. Foster Space management strategy, defining Planograms and visibility alternatives. Ensure Visibility segmentation and classification criteria and development. Coordinate the visibility strategy communication to Field Force in order to reach a successful visibility implementation. Ensure effective/on time development of permanent merchandising to improve JTI visibility across the Trade. Define KPIs and evaluation metrics.

Control the budget of the Portuguese Visibility program in charge of to ensure optimization.

 

Primarily for Spain & Portugal:

Accurate and timely monitoring/reporting. Tools ‘development to ease monitoring/reporting.

Management of incidences at Field regarding tools ‘placement.

 

Participation to Visibility Agil Pool (Spain/CI/Portugal) 

In addition to local market visibility strategy execution and upon assessment of Consumer & Trade Activation Manager Spain on Visibility projects in plan, assume responsibility on projects with deployment across the three markets.

 

Requirements:

  • Proficiency level of English, Spanish & Portuguese (mandatory)
  • High standard of university degree (required). MBA or equivalent educational background will be an advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in FMCG similar managerial positions. Others Commercial experience is valuable.
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen with a good level of brand/commercial mindset.
  • Visibility skills and project management experience.
  • Autonomy, proactivity and problem solving.
  • Challenge Status Quo.
  • Experience & resilience to work in a fast-evolving environment yet bringing in a correct understanding of business challenges and ability to propose and ensure new visibility initiatives.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritizing and handling multiple tasks, whilst maintaining attention to detail.

The position is based in Lisbon although it will support Spain and Portugal, thus availability to travel 30-40% of the time is required.

 

Main areas of Responsibility      

  • Work in close collaboration with the other marketing managers in order to ensure business objectives focus and investment priorities are met to successfully drive JTI brands ‘visibility in the Portuguese market.
  • Work in close collaboration with Field Teams to ensure relevance and competitiveness on the Portuguese market.  
  • Participate to annual permanent Visibility strategy definition (Portuguese SPC process), including follow-up and research analysis to understand activation effectiveness and set next steps. In close collaboration with Marketing & Sales, use the acquired data (Field Force Survey) to understand what trends are emerging in the market-place, what the competition is doing, in order to develop the most effective plans within legal framework. Foster segmentation and classification (Scoring card). Ensure adequate visibility/remarkable space to improve impact & presence (SOV) at POS and enhance SOB purchase.              
  • Propose and deploy the Portuguese JTI shelf planograms ´strategy. Develop needed tools to ensure an efficient planogram ´implementation for Field Force. Placement effectiveness follow-up from budget and timings perspective. Set planograms guidelines and training. Alignment with Legal department and JTI Guidelines.     
  • Coordinate with suppliers & PPO the prices, features and minimum order quantity of permanent materials for Portuguese market and ensure constant quality, innovation and flexibility for Field Force and Trade.
  • Guarantee the permanent materials ‘placement along the year according to budget and plans (timing).
  • In coordination with PPO, monitor the quality of service of suppliers at Field (ex: Field Force Survey).
  • For Spain & Portugal: Manage incidences at Field regarding tools´placement to implement timely corrective actions.   
  • Monitor visibility program results against KPIs (on-going) and recommend corrective actions if necessary. Develop tools to ease monitoring/reporting.
  • Prepare monthly presentations in order to update Marketing & Sales departments about programs activation/results.
  • Develop presentations/reports in order to keep top management (Local, Region, etc.) up to date on visibility program & performance (on request).
  • Effectively control yearly budget for the visibility program in Portugal, in line with company´s policies and processes: optimization, reallocation by program, cancellation if necessary following strategy, commercial & planning requirements.
