WHAT THIS POSITION IS ABOUT: PURPOSE
The position is responsible for accurate stock control, stacking, and coordinating tobacco flow while implementing system and operational procedures
WHAT YOU WILL DO: RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee warehouse operations by verifying tobacco receipts, coordinating dispatches to the factory, and maintaining accurate stock records.
- Oversee seasonal worker performance through task allocation and results monitoring.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure availability and functionality of warehouse resources and systems as well as manage trainings.
- Ensure timely daily reporting including equipment performance and assessment of off-season maintenance needs
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma in any of the following: Logistics, Accounting/Business Administration or Agricultural related studies.
- 3-5 years’ experience in warehousing and processing with a demonstrated knowledge of LeafPoint or any other system used for green tobacco accountability.
- Fluent in oral and written English, fluent in oral Chichewa.
- Strong planning and organizing skills, logistical management, project management, leadership, communication and problem solving. Tobacco leaf skills is an added advantage
