WHAT THIS POSITION IS ABOUT: PURPOSE

This position exists to support the Legal Director in providing legal and regulatory advice, legal support services to the entity to ensure compliance with applicable laws and policies. 

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO: RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Providing legal and regulatory advice/guidance to the business units to facilitate decision making.
  • Drafting, reviewing and maintaining contracts, memorandums and other legal documents.
  • Ensuring legal compliance, monitoring changes in laws and regulations that directly impact the Company.
  • Coordinating with external counsel on all litigation and dispute resolution matters (court cases, arbitration, and mediation) to minimize legal risk and exposure.
  • Support various tasks and projects as they arise and upon Legal Director’s request.

 

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree from a recognized institution.
  • Must have a valid practicing license.
  • 3 year(s) of post admission experience.
  • Must have legal research and investigative skills.
  • Ability to operate on and engage at various levels within the business.
  • Excellent organizational, problem solving and time management skills.
