POSITION PURPOSE

 

PMO Manager is responsible for development, prioritization and management of the Engineering Capex and Projects Portfolio, ensuring planning accuracy, proper deliverables, solid communication plan and project managers continuous improvement. This individual will also lead the proper development and deployment of PMO standards and culture enhancement, being the operation point of contact for the Continuous Improvement and Capex agenda.

Achievements must be delivered in a strictly business aligned manner as stated on GSC &GLT’s Five Strategic Focus Area and the Operation Pillars, aiming the continuous improvement of the KPI and the Origin & Area Business Objectives. MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

 

CAPEX Planning

Ensure full alignment of projects portfolio and the Capital Expenditure with the company strategy,

aiming to have a cashflow assertiveness and optimize the financial results. Plan the company

investments from the portfolio management, categorizing investment proposals according the major

drives of EAM and JTI strategy.

 

PMO Standards

Ensure that the key processes for planning and execution of the Projects are defined and communicated.

Reports and scope change management must be in line with Corporate Policies and compliant with Legal

Requirements (Finance, PPO, IT, Accounting, HR, Operations, Legal)

 

 

Training program

Lead the training program for project management. To raise the Project Managers' knowledge about Project

Management methodology. It includes training new PMs, refresh the knowledge of current staff and creating a

control matrix for talent development.

 

Portfolio management

Plan the portfolio organization and implementation, mobilize resources, analyze and mitigate risks, periodically

monitor operational routines to ensure effective planning and portfolio development. Constantly evaluate project

prioritization to ensure that projects are aligned with the organization's strategy.   

 

Risk and Change Management

Apply the risk management good practices to the JTI standards and ensure that the process of Management of

Change is being followed during the project’s implementation.

 

Lessons learned

Maintain a lesson learned database to keep all the intangible knowledge acquired during the implementation of

past projects. Create moments to bring the written information to the public promoting the continuous improvement.

 

 

Communication Tools and Skills

Ensure the creation and sharing the performance reports, to communicate the main information about the

projects and CAPEX (status, financial, schedule, lessons learned, compliance, good practices). Promoting critical

analysis and improvements actions.

 

Continuous Improvements

With the objective of bringing innovative solutions to the business and continuing stimulate the operations teams

to help on this, promote an innovative agenda, delivering new projects that will bring differentiation and competitive

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

 

Engineering, Administration or any related qualification

Project Management knowledge

 

Proven experience of 3 years in:
- supporting the internal stakeholders to plan and execute the investment's projects
- integrated management system
- project management or tasks control
