What this position is about?

 

The Brand Associate will join a dynamic and fast paced working environment. He/she will work closely with the Brand Lead, cross functional marketing and sales team to deliver the stewardship of brand equity, activation, product and packaging development within the JTI portfolio. The candidate will support in collecting and uncovering consumer insights to deliver innovative marketing campaigns which includes the development of communication touchpoints & program mechanic. The candidate will also assist marketing and sales related including collaboration with appointed distributors for brand launches, product route-to-market and budget tracking for Malaysia market and beyond

 

What will you do?

 

  • You will work in close collaboration with the Brand Lead to develop all marketing mix including new product, new pack, brand communication and program strategies to strengthen brand equity and ensure alignment to brand positioning as defined by Headquarter Brand Group
  • Support the Brand Lead to translate brand strategies and objectives into brand product and packaging, trade and consumer engagement and launch to market execution
  • Drive innovation and determine new ways to reach the consumer while ensuring legal compliance
  • Assist in providing reporting, insights / strategic market information and analysis with business implications or recommendations to support effective and efficient business decisions such as Distribution to Trade Report, Monthly Marketing Brief, New Product Performance Dashboard, Competitor Activity Update, and Adhoc analysis when business needs arise
  • Assist in the management of projects contracted to the agencies. Manage timelines and negotiate communication budgets allocated to the agencies
  • Monitor market trends, research consumer dynamic and competitors’ activities to identify opportunities and key issues in order to develop the most effective communication tools within the legislation
  • Support the Brand Lead on periodic business updates, Commercial Review and Annual & Strategic Planning (ASP) process including presentation preparation and trend analysis
  • Assist all marketing and sales related including collaboration with appointed distributors for brand launches, product route-to-market and budget tracking for Malaysia market and beyond

 

Who are we looking for?

 

  • A Bachelor / University Degree in any related field
  • Fluent in English and Malay Bahasa
  • Has at least 2 years of experience in Marketing & Sales functions within a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) marketing and equipped with knowledge of digital marketing tools and techniques.
  • Has the ability to effectively manage multiple assignments in a timely manner
  • Has experience in agency and project management with a strong background in brand marketing and new product launches
  • Proven team player, can effectively communicate with various organizational functions
  • Has good negotiation skills, flexible, and has the ability to manage deadlines under pressure
  • Willing to work in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
