RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • To achieve sales, distribution and trade marketing objectives by focusing on the right & high impact outlets within the designated area. Work closely with superior in executing plan and ensure concise communications on the business objectives and plans. Sales & distribution targets can be achieved through close monitoring and working closely with distributor's sales team.

 

  • Identify opportunities in the market to deliver brand building strategies, strategic market development planning & product assessment to achieve awareness and gain share of market. Take initiatives to undertake projects for business growth and operational efficiency and embrace evolving market environment. Ensure all actions and plans, including the assigned distributor's sales team actions, are within the CTPR guidelines.

 

  • Develop and maintain a highly motivated and competent distributor's sales team by fostering a good working relationship with the sales team through regular field visitation, understanding their needs & providing appropriate supports. Appraise their performance; provide guidance and ongoing coaching for further improvement. Assist to maintain a strong & productive relationship with assigned distributor(s).

 

  • Maintain and update records on sales data, distribution analysis, merchandising records and other business related costs. To optimize and use the information from DSD/TME systems and Consumer & Trade Marketing programs towards realizing the full benefits for the business. Actively participate in meetings/discussion on a group or individual basis is needed to have a clear and concise understanding of JTI business objectives. Possess good knowledge of the merchandising activities/programs to leverage on placement opportunities in the trade within the allocated budget and assigned market.

 

  • Maintain & develop a mutually productive relationship with all assigned accounts like general trade, key accounts, leisure channel and customers through frequent visitation (including compliance check) & ensuring sales team deliver the expected satisfactory trade service level. Need to take accountability to ensure JTI is competitively position against competitors in any channels or retail outlets. To be flexible & readily accepts any changes in the roles and responsibilities - due to business needs as and when determine by JTI.

 

  • Gather and analyze market intelligence and trade information to assist management in making a better decisions and strategizing programs for business growth.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Possess Diploma / Professional qualification in Business Studies, Sales, Marketing or related field with at least 3 years of working experience in similar capacity.
  • SPM holders with minimum 5 years of related working experience are also encouraged to apply.
  • Possess a valid driving license / GDL.
  • Proficient in both English and Bahasa Melayu.
  • Computer literate.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A team player who takes ownership to drive results.
  • Mobility: MUST prepare to be transferred and stationed nationwide.
