WHAT THIS POSITION IS ABOUT - PURPOSE

Maximise Brand Availability and Visibility through the execution of Essential Distribution, Field Marketing activities & Program activations in line with channel/price strategies and the required customers service levels

Assist Regional Sale Manager in developing and executing Channel Trade Marketing & Distribution plan which meets brand objectives for each outlet types (HoReCa, Traditional Shopping Places and Modern Trade) through the most effective and efficient utilization of budgets and manpowers

 

WHAT WILL YOU DO - RESPONSIBILITIES

Sale Supervisor Tasks

1.1 Sale Coverage – Focus on retailers and wholesale outlets where there are potential SOB smokers hangout: 
 • Identify and secure Lease Agreement with good outlets (SQ/HQ) for exclusive merchandising, product display
 • Develop and implement call plan such as call coverage, call frequencies and call efficiency
 • Keep track on consumer profile, RSP as per company recommendation and sales off-take of our brands vis-a-vis competitors. 
 • Ensure enough  and fresh stocks at all times
 • Conduct  regular compliance check (display, RSP, event/activities)

1.2 Communication & Activation
• Effectively facilitate and communicate activity mechanic to trade outlets and seek their supports/cooperation
•  Implement agreed national presence marketing and promotion program with optimum use of resources and materials in order to achieve target in-store visibility and retail sales performance for key strategic brands throughout the channel by gaining the active support of the channel members
• Identify and plan for POSM deployment to grow visibility everywhere and  meeting brand objective
• Develop 121 route and proper approaches/ strategies targeting right profile of outlets where SOB hangout
• Enhance close relationship with trade outlets in order to gain high levels of trade supports and loyalty whilst enhancing understanding of trade environment
• Manage the implementation of Account plans for merchandising and promotion in the outlets of account chains in order to achieve brand, volume share objective and target
• Provide trade marketing information and reports on performance and accounts to ensure that Supervisors, key account handlers are fully informed all times
• Work closely with both Area Executive in charge and trade outlets on negotiation for merchandising placement and or contract renewal to meet brand objective and cost efficiency

Sales & Distribution

• Handle sales target in assigned channel/territories by working closely with Sales team, PD & Sub
• Explore andd Identify new opportunities to increase sales performance in territories 
• Drive distribution of company products up to maximum availability as per company objective 
• To present the complete value of our products range in the market place 
• Help to define and develop territory management, call management aims to improve strike rate
• Manage an efficient and effective channel team through on-the-job training, re-training, motivation and staff development in order that Area Executive and Sales Force is superior to the competition in respect of both core and added value services
• Ensure regular communication of agreed objectives, progress and future action plan to Area Executives, Sales Force and trade partners in order that effective planning and monitoring of in-market activities can be implemented

Report Process – Weekly and  Monthly

• Promotion update/evaluation – Compile and update work status/report to management on weekly/monthly
• Field intelligence (market trends) and data gathering – Consolidate and report to management on weekly/monthly
• Capture all market-related information and make the reports for superior
• Other reports submission to line manager on regular requirement. 
• Do other tasks assigned by line manager 

 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR - REQUIREMENTS:

  • Preferably Diploma holder; Degree or equivalent 
  • At least 3 years experience in Marketing/Trade Marketing of international FMCG company
  • With Initiative, attention to details and flexible, disciplined and with high integrity. 
  • Fluency in oral and written communication is a plus 
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications

Functional Skills:

  • Previous experiences in Cigarette Company or other similar Company.
  • Effective communication, team building and organisational skills are a pre-requisite.
  • The candidate also have had exposure to the formulation, management and control of sales & Distribution plans and budgets
