JTI Talent Internship – Distributor & Field Force Track
Gain real-world exposure to the commercial side of business with the JTI Talent Internship – Distributor & Field Force (DFF) Track at JT International Trading Sdn. Bhd. This internship provides practical experience in understanding how the Route-to-Consumer strategy and effective execution impact overall market outcomes, fostering a strong foundation in commercial operations and strategic planning.
As a JTI Talent Intern in DFF, you will build strong commercial, analytical, and operational capabilities by:
- Supporting the assessment of route-to-market (RTM) strategies and distribution models, benchmarking against competitors and FMCG RTM best practices to identify gaps and winning opportunities
- Assisting in the evaluation of field sales performance and distributor effectiveness, including productivity, visitation quality, ROI, profitability, volume growth, and activation execution in line with the Sales Playbook
- Contributing to operational and cost efficiency analysis, including the review of distributor KPIs, trade service levels, and overall productivity to support continuous performance improvement to win competitions
- Gaining valuable on-ground exposure through site visits and distributor engagement, building a practical understanding of field operations and execution realities
- Supporting the use of digital platforms and reporting tools, helping to improve communication, data visibility, reporting accuracy, and workflow efficiency across the Sales organisation
Requirements:
- Malaysian citizen who is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree at a recognised university or college
- Available to commit to the internship for at least 4 months (16 weeks)
- Studying Business Management, Business Analytics, Operations Management, Commerce or FMCG related disciplines
- Demonstrates strong analytical and critical thinking, with the ability to identify patterns, gaps, and opportunities, and an interest in FMCG sales, distribution models, and field execution
- Communicates clearly and effectively, with the ability to engage internal and external stakeholders, while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word); communicates effectively in English and Bahasa Melayu, with additional language skills as an advantage
