Corporate H&S Manager
As the Corporate H&S Manager under the area of People & Culture, you will:
- Develop and implement the regional Health & Safety strategy across all JTI Markets, GBS, and R&D, providing oversight and guidance to achieve corporate targets and ensure alignment with local legal and JTI requirements.
- Provide oversight of regional compliance with legal and JTI Health & Safety requirements by conducting regular audits and assessments, identifying gaps, and offering subject matter expertise to drive corrective actions.
- Lead regional risk management efforts to identify, assess, and mitigate health and safety–related business risks, reducing organizational exposure and liability.
- Oversee the regional incident investigation program, including leading investigations in cases of fatalities, driving root cause analysis, and reviewing the need for changes to standards and procedures.
- Ensure lessons learned from incidents are shared at regional and global levels and embedded into local standards and programs to support continuous improvement.
- Monitor, track, and continuously improve regional health and safety performance using relevant metrics and performance indicators.
- Lead and develop the regional Health & Safety community by promoting best‑practice sharing, coordinating safety training programs, supporting safety leadership development, maintaining strong stakeholder relationships, and managing H&S talent where applicable.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree or higher with a strong focus on EHS or Safety Management; international EHS certification is preferred, and NEBOSH certification is required.
- More than 10 years of experience working in EHS within Oil and Gas, Chemical, Mining, Tobbaco, FMCG, and/or manufacturing environments; regional or multi‑country experience is a significant advantage.
- Strong knowledge of EHS management systems, risk management, regulatory requirements, standards, training management, and ISO systems.
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages are considered an advantage.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship‑management skills, combined with strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities, including root cause analysis.
