Role: Permanent

D&IT Business Solutions Manager 

You will be responsible for managing the market portfolio of applications and maintaining and supporting the full Data & Analytics (D&A) portfolio for your market cluster, partnering with colleagues to standardize processes and drive efficiency. You are expected to broaden your technical and delivery capabilities by leveraging the tools available to you, including (but not limited to) Freedom within Data Management. You will also ensure that third-party solution providers and external resources deliver on their commitments and contractual obligations within the agreed budget.

You may lead projects to localize and roll out centralized systems, including detailed planning, execution of changes, data migration, coordination of external resources, and go-live activities.

In this role, you will act as the Business Relationship Manager for your markets/cluster, engaging actively with business stakeholders and D&IT partners to explore enhancements or clarify new capability requirements. You will work closely with the Cluster Team Lead to assess existing tools that can meet business needs and incorporate them into the roadmap. You will also drive the demand process to deliver new solutions aligned with the planned roadmaps.

You will regularly review technology successes across JTI and in the external landscape, bringing forward relevant innovations for your business partners to consider.

While upholding JTI D&IT and Corporate Governance standards, you will lead and manage assigned changes and projects—and when required, related teams—to ensure successful delivery. At all times, you will operate in line with JTI’s Project Management Framework, established D&IT policies and procedures, J-SOX controls, and industry best practices.

As a D&IT Business Solutions Manager, you will:

• Design and oversee the implementation of enterprise-grade Data Lake architectures (Azure Data Lake).
• Define best practices and standards for data ingestion, storage, transformation, and access
• Collaborate with internal delivery teams, enterprise architects, vendors to validate architecture designs and ensure high-quality execution
• Drive the transition from traditional Azure Data Warehouse to modern Data Lake platforms
• Develop and implement a data governance framework that supports data lineage, access control, and compliance (e.g., GDPR, local data privacy laws).
• Lead multi-country data consolidation projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines
• Maintain project documentation, risks, and dependencies

Requirements: 

• 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering, with strong exposure to Data Lake architectures (Azure Data Lake).
• Expertise in data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data integration strategies.(Azure blob, Azure DB, Azure ADF, Azure Databricks)
• Proven track record in data governance, including experience with tools like Purview, Unity Catalog, Collibra, or Informatica.
• Experience leading cross-functional, multi-country data projects with both internal teams and third-party vendors
• Background in managing data teams or mentoring junior engineers
• Excellent in project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, DAMA, PMP/Prince2) are advantageous.
