Legal Manager

Are you a commercially minded legal professional looking to make a real business impact? We are seeking an experienced Legal Manager to become a trusted advisor and strategic partner to our Cluster leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of the business, providing practical legal guidance that supports growth, drives innovation and protects the Company's interests in a dynamic and highly regulated environment. In this role, you will collaborate with senior stakeholders, influence key business decisions, lead complex legal matters and help shape the future of the organization through sound legal judgment and commercial insight.

 

Position:

 

  • Partner with business leaders to provide strategic, commercially focused legal advice that enables business objectives while effectively managing legal and regulatory risks.

  • Lead the drafting, review, negotiation and management of a wide range of commercial agreements, while supporting key functions such as Marketing and Sales on competition, consumer protection and data privacy matters.

  • Drive corporate governance, compliance and regulatory initiatives, ensuring adherence to applicable laws, internal policies and governance standards.

  • Manage complex legal matters, disputes, litigation and sensitive employment-related issues, safeguarding the Company's interests and minimizing risk exposure.

  • Lead legal support for strategic and operational projects, providing practical solutions, identifying risks and ensuring successful project delivery aligned with business objectives.

  • Build strong relationships across the organization, manage external counsel, enhance legal awareness through training and guidance and continuously improve legal processes and service delivery.

Requirements:

 

  • Minimum 5 years’ post-qualification experience gained within a law firm and/or in-house legal environment, with experience in commercial contracts, regulatory matters and employment law.

  • LLB or equivalent law degree with completed articles and admission as an Attorney or Advocate.

  • Strong expertise in providing strategic legal support to business functions, particularly Marketing and Sales, with proven commercial contracting and negotiation skills.

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex matters in a fast-paced environment.

  • Company Secretarial qualifications, FMCG experience and exposure to disputes and litigation will be advantageous.
