What this position is about – Purpose
The Data and Foresight Manager is a future-focused strategic leader responsible for building and activating a world-class data and insight capability that strengthens organizational decision-making and long-term resilience. Working across global and cross-functional stakeholders, the role designs and enables a robust, integrated data ecosystem that transforms diverse data sources into cohesive, actionable intelligence. Through advanced analytics, modelling, and foresight methodologies, the Data and Foresight Manager deliver forward-looking insights that anticipate emerging trends, risks, and opportunities across markets, consumers, and categories ensuring the organization is not only prepared for the future but actively shaping it.
What will you do - Responsibilities:
- Data Ecosystem Development & Management: Design, build, and maintain a scalable data ecosystem integrating internal and external sources. Establish governance for quality, standards, and compliance, enabling consistent insights across functions.
- Collaborate with IT and vendors to ensure optimal architecture, tool selection, and reliable system performance. Promote data literacy and adoption throughout the organization.
- Data Modelling and Forecasting: Develop and oversee market models for all nicotine categories over a 10-year horizon, factoring in macro-economic, consumer, regulatory, pricing, and competitive variables. Use predictive modelling to track trends, growth drivers, and shifts, integrating short-, medium-, and long-term perspectives.
- Update models regularly based on new data and market changes and conduct monthly analyses to ensure forecasting accuracy.
- Strategic Planning & Support: Convert complex data into clear, actionable insights for leadership and cross-functional teams. Assist strategic planning with evidence, scenarios, and implications; advise leaders to challenge assumptions and improve resilience.
- Link foresight insights to strategy and investment priorities.
- Consumer, Market Intelligence & Pricing: Lead research projects to understand markets, consumers, and brands. Forecast trends, monitor competitors and pricing, and provide actionable pricing recommendations.
- Performance Tracking: Consolidate data from multiple sources into narrative reports with recommendations. Create clear, visual formats for non-technical audiences.
- Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with stakeholders across functions and markets. Align priorities and perspectives to ensure ecosystem design meets stakeholder needs.
- Budget Management: Manage the data and foresight budget to maximize return on investment, prioritize spending, enforce governance, optimize costs, and recommend investments aligned with strategic goals.
Whom are we looking for – Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or equivalent
- 8+ years in Business Intelligence/Strategic Insights/Business Planning (preferably FMCG)
- 3+ years in data management, modeling, forecasting; advanced MS Office skills
- Tobacco industry knowledge a plus
- Fluent English; proficient in Power BI, Excel, and analytics
