Commercial Planning Associate (RTM & Operational Efficiencies)

 

What this position is about – Purpose

The commercial Planning Analyst supports decision-making by converting business needs into actionable insights. Responsibilities include preparing annual and strategic plans, providing management reports, analysing business processes and market trends to find ways to improve channel contributions and commercial results. The analyst consolidates cross-team information, ensures data quality, and uses analytics tools to boost reporting efficiency. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication are essential. The role requires collaboration across departments, adaptability to market changes, and clear, data-driven recommendations to strengthen JTI’s commercial planning.

 

What will you do - Responsibilities:

 

  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with cross-functional teams to consolidate inputs for planning and reporting. Communicate insights clearly to stakeholders at all levels. Adapt analysis to evolving market trends and business priorities.
  • Process Improvement & Efficiency: Review reporting processes, costing models, and documentation to identify gaps. Recommend and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and standardization. Support adoption of analytics tools to strengthen forecasting and reporting.
  • RTM & RTC Efficiencies: Evaluate RTM/RTC models to ensure alignment with commercial objectives. Identify inefficiencies using data and recommend cost and speed improvements. Generate insights on channel performance to guide distribution and resource allocation. Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance to align strategies. Drive continuous improvement using best practices and analytics.
  • Channel Planning & Route Optimization: Optimize territories, channels, and sales routes to improve coverage and efficiency. Analyze performance and provide recommendations for strategy and resource allocation. Develop forecasts, highlighting risks and opportunities. Collaborate with sales and channel teams to ensure alignment. Continuously improving processes using data and market insights.

 

Whom are we looking for – Requirements:

 

  • Degree in Business Administration or Business Informatics
  • Strong business experience with at least 5 years in a Sales or Commercial role, including supervisory exposure; familiarity with JTI's environment preferred. Experience in forecasting and budgeting is beneficial.
