Procurement Specialist M&S & T&E
This position is responsible to support strategic and lead tactical procurement initiatives within Marketing and Sales (M&S) and Travel and Event (T&E) category. The role partners closely with internal stakeholders, Global/Regional Procurement, P2P, and suppliers to deliver cost savings, optimize supplier performance, and ensure continuity of supply. This position drives tactical sourcing initiatives, supplier relationship management, and KPI delivery while ensuring full compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and ethical standards. The role also contributes to continuous improvement and market intelligence to support informed sourcing decisions.
As the Procurement Specialist M&S & T&E you will:
Tactical Procurement
- Responsible for local tactical procurement activities. Ensures effective supplier relationship management throughout the supply chain and security of supply. Implements the appropriate pre-defined strategies, works in close collaboration with Cluster Category Manager to create & manage suppliers in the most efficient & effective manner. Collaborates with P2P Competency Center & GBS when appropriate. Implements procurement action plans as per Global/Regional/Cluster strategic directions. Supports cost optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
Supplier Management
- Optimizes supplier base and manages SRM within scope of operations. Identifies and manages regional/cluster tactical suppliers' pool. Negotiates best value contracts and ensures optimal and sustainable supply conditions. Recommends timely actions where relevant to prevent procurement inefficiencies. Demonstrates ability to challenge status quo, proposes and runs projects that will add value to both Procurement and business functions. Shares any ideas that could represent a competitive advantage for JTI.
KPI & Targets
- Achieves set procurement negotiation targets and KPIs, while ensuring alignment and compliance. Delivers Cost Savings targets. Implements recommended strategic sourcing plan/decisions. Drives supplier selection processes in close cooperation with respective Business Partners to ensure best combination of quality, cost and service parameters or conditions for products and services are attained. Monitors performance and potential deviation and ensures corrective action(s) are taken when required. Ensure full compliance in the utilisation of digital technology for sourcing events and performance reporting.
Business Partnerships
- Ensures business connectivity and foster collaborative business partnership with stakeholders. Focuses on demonstrating value of business partnership, by developing a customer-centric approach. Implements aligned strategy with business partners and ensures it meets Business' priorities. Establishes alignment and effective communication among procurement organization, business partners and suppliers. Takes preventive actions to ensure security of supply and resolves problems in due time. Assumes responsibilities for additional projects, tasks as assigned by his/her superior and shows professionalism in all aspects of work.
Market Intelligence
- Collects and shares market intelligence, identifies trends and opportunities. Applies best practices in procurement process management by utilizing latest models and takes necessary actions for areas of improvement. Supports Cluster Category Manager in conductiong supply risk assessment, building of contingency plans, finding alternative ideas, solutions in securing best conditions for the company including market research and proactive sourcing of innovative suppliers.
Requirements:
- University degree
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a similar role within a multinational company
- Proficiency in English (business level); additional languages are advantageous
- Functional Skills
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal abilities
- Financial analysis expertise
- Understanding of business environments
- Project management capabilities
- Solid knowledge of business information systems and advanced computer skills (MS Office & SAP)
