FOREIGN TRADE OPERATION ASSOCIATE

 

Position Purpose

The incumbent will be mainly responsible for communicating and coordinating inbound Non-Tobacco Material shipments with suppliers, agencies, Procurement and Planning departments.

The position will be reporting to Foreign Trade Operation Manager.

 

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating inbound traffic of NTM's for all international deliveries while coordinating daily business flow between suppliers, agencies, procurement, and planning department.
  • Handling delivery issues and being responsible for troubleshooting in a timely manner.
  • Preparing weekly import program and daily import instructions of materials to be imported and coordinate with the customs agency.
  • Setting priorities for clearance according to the related department requests’ to guide the customs agency.
  • Following up customs operations to be fulfilled in legal time limits with a minimum storage cost.
  • Preparing a weekly and daily delivery plan and coordinating with the warehouse.
  • Making necessary applications and getting special permissions from governmental authorities for materials if necessary. Coordinating the process with the internal parties about the requirements and collection of the documents.
  • Reconciliating the monthly insurance policy amounts with the insurance broker and weekly inland haulage invoices with the transportation agency.
  • Managing damaged imported goods insurance process and following up of refund commission of insurance policies.
  • Collecting necessary information and assuring correct correspondence (with customs consultant & broker).
  • Preparing requested data for global and local tender. Evaluating performance of the transportation companies based on defined criteria's and daily business flow and preparing load factor KPI report.

                                                                                       

Qualifications & Experience

  • University degree in Faculty of Economics & Administrative Science, Logistics, Industrial Engineer or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience (Agency or import department experience is a plus),
  • Advanced level of English is a must,
  • Advanced level of MS Office applications knowledge.
  • Work authorization to be employed in Turkey (citizenship or work permit).
