Agronomy Supervisor

The Agronomy Supervisor is responsible for the field-level implementation and monitoring of leaf tobacco production activities within the assigned region. The role is highly field-oriented and requires close engagement with growers to ensure effective execution of production standards, contracting, quality grading, purchasing, and processing support.

This position is based in Izmir and reports to the Agronomy Manager.

Position:

As an Agronomy Supervisor, you will:

• Implement and monitor Minimum Agricultural Standards (MAS) at field level.
• Ensure effective execution of Agricultural Labor Practices (ALP) and social responsibility programs.
• Conduct frequent field visits and provide hands-on technical support to growers.
• Monitor crop development (qualitative and quantitative) and report findings accurately.
• Support grower contracting, grading, and procurement activities during the crop cycle.
• Deliver farmer training and assist in preparing communication materials.
• Contribute to agronomy and cross-functional projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Tobacco Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or related discipline.
• 1–3 years of experience in tobacco or field crop production.
• Solid understanding of field agronomy and crop production systems.
• Intermediate English proficiency.
• Strong MS Office skills.
• Strong communication, resilience, and organizational capability.
• No travel restrictions: valid driving license required.
• Full mobility for remote and challenging field assignments, particularly in Eastern and Black Sea regions of Türkiye.
