Market Modelling Operations Manager
The Market Modelling Operations Manager plays a critical role in maintaining the stability, accuracy, and continuous enhancement of JTIP's market modelling & forecasting capability to support JTI Philippines’ strategic decisions. This role ensures that market modelling expertise is continuously refined, expanded, and effectively communicated to the CBU organization to support operational planning.
As the Market Modelling Operations Manager in the area of Marketing, you will:

Market Model Maintenance & Expertise Development

Support the development of a comprehensive market model for all nicotine categories covering the next 10 years, incorporating macroeconomic factors, consumer affordability, regulatory changes, taxation, competitor activities, and JTI's strategic directions.

Maintain, validate, and continuously refine the Market Model, ensuring alignment with evolving market dynamics by integrating external research, industry insights, and internal/external data.

Conduct monthly performance analysis to assess forecasting accuracy and highlight necessary revisions.

MSM 3.0 Power User and Trainer

Fully onboard on MSM 3.0 and become a power user for D&F, FP&A, and the Brand team, ensuring continuous knowledge updates and training support.

Collaborate closely with the Business Process team to enhance UI/UX functionality of MSM 3.0, making it accessible to a wider group within JTI Philippines.

Proactively engage with the vendor (LTP Labs) for model refinement and explanability of output

Strategic Planning Guidance for CBU
-
Support bottom-up planning by providing a robust baseline forecast with clear explanations.

Establish and maintain structured support for CBU planning in Collab, including baseline alignment, Collab integration, and actual performance tracking vs. forecasting.

Prepare and present market situation analyses to support strategic decision-making on a regular and ad-hoc basis.

Engage with stakeholders for market data inquiries and key assumption submissions regarding market size, share of market (SOM), and key business drivers.

Data collection, analysis and maintenance:
-
Actively collect external and internal data for market modelling, including government publications, internal operational data, competitive intelligence, market trends, and external research sources (retail audits, consumer trackers, consumer studies, open-source data).

Create and maintain a data repository with clear descriptions, ensuring cross-functional visibility and regular updates into the MSM tool.

Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting

Proactively engage with RMC/RRP Brand team, FMG, FP&A, and CBU RCSDs to provide updates on market assumptions and planning.

Maintain a centralized repository for the latest plans (Volume, SOM & OCC) for easy stakeholder access.

Support the Market Modelling Manager in effectively communicating key findings to ExCom, Sales, Finance, and Marketing leadership.

Ensure forecast transparency by providing clear justifications for assumptions and model updates.

Requirements:
-
Bachelor's degree in an analytical field (Mathematical, Statistics, Economy) or equivalent experience
-
5+ years of proven experience in Business Intelligence, Forecasting, Market modelling or Performance analysis.

Experience in Data analsys tools (SQL and Power BI) is a plus.
-
Advanced user in MS office is a must.

Fluent in both written & verbal English

Functional skills:

Strong understanding of nicotine market dynamics, competitive analysis, and financial modelling.

Analytical skills with business acumen: Ability to turn large volumes of data into articulated, easy-to-understand insights and business recommendations by identifying correlations and converting them into modelling algorithms.

Structured mindset as a Plus : Ability to design conceptual and logical data models and flowcharts, ensuring transparency and easy explanation of forecasting models and algorithms
