Brand Manager
The Brand Manager is responsible for achieving the brand's profit, volume, and equity goals. This role involves collaborating with the Portfolio & Brand Equity Lead to establish the brand's portfolio, product, and packaging strategies and ensuring their effective implementation. Regular communication with JTI global brand management, R&D, GSC, and agencies is essential, along with close cooperation with other JTI Vietnam departments such as Operations, Finance, and CA/Legal to maintain consistent brand equity. The Brand Manager will prepare clear and concise presentations for annual planning meetings and present these plans to senior management stakeholders. Additionally, the Brand Manager mentors and develops the team to ensure the brand strategy is executed efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.
WHAT WILL YOU DO
- Strengthen share of market and equity for concerned brand in Vietnam. Assist PBE Lead to drive brand portfolio strategy; assess new product opportunities, identify focus areas to achieve growth goals and secure implementation.
- Drive brand portfolio, distribution, price and communication strategy for Annual & Strategic Plan. Develop and implement new product launches, closely cooperating with regional R&D, HQ Brand Groups, external agencies and internal functions.
- Manage internal and external stakeholders by communicating market dynamics, brand plans and provide recommendations for performance improvement.
- Close cooperation with Consumer Trade Marketing and Sales to ensure optimal and timely brand activation support. Be the key Brand Guardian in Brand Equity/ SOM performance, to alert and proactively come up with counteract plan short term and long term, via closely cooperating with SI department in order to analyze consumer behavior and look for insight through researches in order to provide the implication for business.
- Conduct analysis and periodical reviews of the brand. Ongoing monitoring and analysis of sales trends, market data and competitor activity.
- Coach, motivate and guide the professional development of the team reporting directly and indirectly to the incumbent.
- Manage budget for appointed brand/ SOB.
- Frequent business trip requirement.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor Degree
- 3+ years relevant experience in preferrable leading consumer goods or tobacco industry.
- Experience in high agile/ entrepreneurship working environment, good knowledge in marketing & strategic planning (Brand portfolio management, pricing, market analysis, consumer insights and innovation).
- Good understanding of operational constraints and strong executional reflex appreciation of legislation/taxation, external relations, marketing standards in highly regulated industry.
- Fluent in verbal communication & writing English. Good writing, presentation and communication skills.
- Familiar with Microsoft applications and operations.
- Experienced in driving projects as a project leader.
- Proven team player, effectively communicating with various organizational functions.
- Good analytical skills.
