Building & Utilities Electrician - Bilate

About the Job

We are looking for a Building & Utilities Electrician to join our GSC Leaf Supply team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems, curing barns, generators, and utility equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations across Leaf locations. You will contribute to equipment reliability through preventive and corrective maintenance while ensuring compliance with safety and EHS standards.

What Will You Actually Do?

• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical distribution systems, control panels, MCCs, motors, generators, ATS units, lighting systems, and other electrical assets to ensure equipment reliability, operational continuity, and compliance with safety standards.
• Monitor, inspect, and maintain tobacco curing barns, control panels, RH, WB, DB, and temperature sensors, and associated electrical equipment; maintain and update daily maintenance log sheets for each curing barn to ensure equipment reliability, process control, and traceability
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and restore equipment to operation promptly.
• Monitor generator performance and maintain utility equipment including water pumps, fuel pumps, and HVAC systems.
• Support grading machines, conveyor belts, press machines, and misting systems by resolving electrical issues.
• Conduct shift handovers, maintain accurate maintenance records, and respond to equipment breakdowns during assigned on-call duties
• Maintain maintenance records, conduct shift handovers, and respond to breakdowns during on-call duties.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and company EHS standards.
• Report major activities and equipment failures to supervisors and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• keeps Boilers, Generators, other machinery, equipment, tools, and workplace clean, orderly, and conducive; handles spare parts, equipment, tools, and maintenance materials and consumables properly.
• Perform additional duties and projects assigned by the Line Manager.

What Skills Are We Looking For?

Education & Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Electricity, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical maintenance.
