Supplier Quality Assurance Manager
What this position is about - Purpose:
The QA Supplier Quality Manager is responsible for the establishment and improvement of quality assurance standards and programs based on a given framework and managing QA activities for Supplier qualification and performance management.
The incumbent is also responsible for the establishment of design/process standards based on a given framework, the validation of the adherence to the QMS requirements of the Supplier, R&D & GSC teams and the coordination of improvements through CAPA including change control
What will you do - Responsibilities:
- Establish, improve and implement quality assurance standards and programs (e.g. product, process, visual defect and stability study quality standards) relevant for combustable and RRP consumable suppliers and materials on e.g. new product developments, rejuvenations, product enhancements, factory/business integrations etc. based on a given framework, regulatory requirements and consumers voice, to ensure regulatory compliance
- Manage and coordinate all defined QA activities in New Product Development projects such as reviewing & defining quality standards, embedding those into Quality Agreements, qualifications, performing stability studies including change control process for product & processes. Coordinate the alignment and implementation of requirements with relevant stakeholders (R&D, GSC, SRA etc.)
- Establish assigned JTI QA Management System design/process related processes based on a given framework and current mandatory regulations and ensure processes are maintained, continuously improved and implemented/trained to relevant stakeholders such as QA, R&D and GSC
- Validate the adherence of the QMS requirements in e.g. R&D by conducting audits, coordinate improvements through CAPA including change control and conduct supplier assessment and audit
- Manage & coordinate cross-functional quality improvement activities. Manage observed product & process deviations and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders (R&D, GSC & Supplier). Coordinate the escalation and root cause analysis and subsequent improvement activities (CAPA) of incidents for material & product/process non-conformities with relevant stakeholders (R&D, GSC & Supplier)
Who are we looking for - Requirements:
- Scientific or technical university degree (e.g. chemical, physical, or environmental engineer; or food technology)
- At least 3-5 years practical experience and excellent knowledge in quality assurance and quality management in development and mass production, preferably in the tobacco industry
- Fluent in English (written and spoken), other languages considered as an advantage
- Integrative personality with distinctive ability to communicate and to work in a team
- Good leadership as well as people development skills
- Sovereignty when dealing with internal and external partners
- Organizational skills
- Flexibility and creativity
- Reliability and confidentiality
- Comprehensive knowledge of data analysis techniques & statistics
- Profound project management skills
- Excellent PC skills (MS Office) including experience in SAP R/3
