Global Investigations Manager

 

 

What this position is about - Purpose:       

                                                           

The Global Investigations unit conducts independent, detailed reviews of high-value, sensitive, and far-reaching issues. We are looking for a highly motivated colleague for the Geneva HQ office to join a dedicated, enthusiastic, and agile team as Global Investigations Manager taking on an exciting role in a global company.                                                                           

             

What will you do - Responsibilities:              

 

Reporting to the Business Ethics and Global Investigations Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

 

  • Conducting complex or sensitive worldwide investigations into alleged or suspected violations of corporate policies and law, including theft, fraud, harassment, conflict of interest, kickbacks, and records falsification.
  • Partnering with other internal stakeholders, particularly Internal Audit, Legal, IT, People & Culture, and Finance to perform fact-finding investigations.
  • Preparing clear, comprehensive and cohesive investigative reports and memoranda in a timely manner. 
  • Performing case management work, such as information gathering on concerns raised through the internal concerns reporting mechanism (Your Voice), assessment of allegations, review of investigation reports prepared by other appointed investigators and case management administration. 
  • Assisting in the analysis of trends to identify opportunities to strengthen internal processes and minimize risk.  
  • Preparing Lessons Learned from selected investigations across the JTI Group and assisting with special projects as assigned. 
  • Providing training and coaching of less experienced investigators aimed at facilitating the completion of investigations.
  • Performing other tasks related to Your Voice, the Code of Conduct and the overall operation of the Business Ethics and Global Investigations team.

 

 

Who are we looking for - Requirements:

 

This position requires a high degree of sound business acumen, independent judgment, technical expertise and investigative experience.  

  • University degree preferred
  • Ten or more years of experience in conducting demanding and complex internal investigations
  • Experience in government service, such as law enforcement, civil service, or military preferred. Additional professional certifications (Certified Fraud Examinator, Certified Protection Professional, etc.) preferred.
  • Global exposure in a multinational business will be a strong asset
  • Technically proficient in common office software and eDiscovery platforms
  • Experience managing and protecting reporting persons
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical ability to identify and assess exposure to loss, and to examine alternative risk control techniques.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, communicative, and cross-cultural sensitivity 
  • Demonstrated professional maturity, such as:
    • Strong sense of responsibility and confidentiality 
    • Objectivity and impartiality, fairness and trustworthiness.
    • Root cause focus
    • Collaborative mindset
    • Proven skills in communicating with and influencing senior management.
  • Excellent English language report writing and ability to be succinct and audience-specific.
