What this position is about - Purpose: 


The Digital Business Unit based in Geneva is driving JTI's Digital Strategy, focusing on three strategic pillars - Accelerate, Empower, Innovate. Within "Empower", the Line Excellence & Strategy Oversight team focuses on driving efficiency and effectiveness through digital operations. The objective is to ignite digital transformation in global functions, prioritized according to global digital strategy. The Digital Line Excellence Manager is responsible for the definition of the digital strategies.


What will you do - Responsibilities: 


The Digital Line Excellence Manager is responsible for the definition of the digital strategies for JTI’s global functions (Supply Chain, P&C, Finance, GBS, CA, LRA, etc.), and the design of the digital capabilities ecosystem for the functions. Identifies key capabilities gaps, and establishes the functional digital roadmaps. In addition, is responsible to act as a digital sparring partner for the function in the implementation of the roadmap, through aligning and leveraging synergies within the overall JTI digital roadmap and providing outside support (internal or external) where necessary. Is an expert in corporate digital transformation, modern digital solutions focused on operational excellence, agile ways of working, and a strong networker with the ability to build rapport across the organization.


 Who are we looking for - Requirements:     


  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), additional functional and leadership training desirable (digital transformation; operational excellence; program management, etc.); 
  • 7+ years of proven track record with progressive roles in corporate functions (outside of Marketing & Sales) or 5+ years with a Strategy & Management Consulting firm, with focus on Digital & Strategy, mix of both would be ideal;  
  • Experience in driving large scale digital transformation projects, from strategy definition and conceptual thinking to hands-on program design and execution steering; 
  • Strong experience in using modern digital solutions and building new (digital) capabilities to drive operational excellence within corporate functions; 
  • Strong business acumen, with clear focus on delivering business impact and maximize value;
  • Strong experience in cross-functional collaboration and demonstrated success to be able to influence without formal reporting lines;
  • Proven ability to successfully work in and lead combined business - technology teams; 
  • Strong communicator who can analyze input from respective departments, generating cross-functional insights and effectively presents findings and recommendations to all levels in the organization;
  • Excellent understanding of digital solutions to drive operational excellence;
  • Excellent connector, engaging stakeholders across all levels of the organization;
  • Ability to motivate and create momentum across functions and business units; 
  • Experience with agile way of work.
