What this position is about - Purpose:

 

Are you a recent graduate from a technical vocational training center (or finishing your degree) and looking to start your career in an industrial environment?

What this program is about:

 

  • Professional development program for recent graduates or students in the last year of technical vocational training center.
  • Duration: 10 months.
  • Full time position.
  • Mentor support and ongoing training.
  • Access to JTI internal vacancies.
  • Location: Santa Cruz de Tenerife
  • Start date: September 2026

What will you do – Responsibilities: 

 

You will contribute to day-to-day factory operations while developing strong technical and people skills.

 

Production

  • Support in preventive and corrective maintenance of machinery and facilities.
  • Basic diagnosis of electrical, electronic, or automation faults.
  • Inspection of sensors, PLCs, drives, electrical panels, and wiring.
  • Replacement and adjustment of electronic components.
  • Calibration and verification of equipment and instruments.
  • Monitoring technical issues and recording of interventions.
  • Support in commissioning, adjustments, and format changeovers of machinery.
  • Compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards during interventions.

 

 Who are we looking for - Requirements: 

 

  • Recent graduate or final-year students (e.g., mechanics, electronics etc..)
  • Strong interest in manufacturing environments, industrial processes and hands-on problem solving.
  • Comfortable working with data and KPIs (basic analysis, reporting, drawing conclusions).
  • Interest in continuous improvement / lean mindset.
  • Proactive & curious: ask questions, seek root causes and drive follow-up.
  • Adaptable and collaborative.
  • Structured & reliable: work with discipline, safety and attention to detail.
  • Value-oriented: focus on solutions that improve safety, quality, delivery and cost.
  • Nice to have: English skills
