To lead the team responsible for strategic insights & business intelligence.  The position is based in Dhaka, Bangladesh and reports directly to the Marketing Director.


SI & BI is tasked with supporting business decision making through the commissioning, development and implementation of specific research, business analysis and market modelling & forecasting. The team also interprets & reports on externally produced data.


At JTI Bangladesh SI & BI also has responsibility for market demand planning & forecasting.





  1. Lead a team of STA and local hires, setting the tone & culture for the team and taking responsibility for their assessment, evaluation & career progression.
  2. Support the Marketing Director and Portfolio team in the development of marketing, portfolio & pricing strategies for JTI Bangladesh.
  3. Oversee the team to deliver required research, pro-actively and in an effective manner. Ensure the appropriate tools & methodologies are applied and that ‘nice-to-know’ or redundant research is avoided.
  4. Leverage the results to create actionable insights about smoker behavior & smoking habits and so help JTI maintain its competitive edge in Bangladesh.
  5. Oversee required market modelling & demand planning & forecasting on an on-going basis as well as for AP and SPC. 
  6. Manage the market’s relationships working with SI & BI teams in Geneva & Region as well as with research providers.

  • University Degree in Business Administration, Economics or Marketing Management.
  • 6+ years proven record of accomplishment in an SI and/or BI role in FMCG. 
  • International and cross-cultural experience (particularly in emerging markets) will be considered a plus.
