POSITION PURPOSE

 

JTI (Japan Tobacco International) is a leading global tobacco company distributing our products in 130 countries worldwide. Following the recent acquisition of Akij Tobacco, we are looking for Compensation and Benefit Manager who has experience on building compensation models and conducting pay analysis.

 

The successful candidate will contribute to the People & Culture development by implementing a comprehensive pay and benefits strategy ensuring compliance with local legislation, market practice and company's guidelines; ensure quality of personnel records, employee relations and payroll as well as associated reporting by partnering with other function of People & Culture and senior business leaders, conducting job evaluation, performing analysis.

 

 

 

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

 

  • To design and develop compensation strategy and programs. Manage Annual Salary Review process including local & corporate incentive plans.
  • To manage organizations International expat population in line with local requirements and Global Mobility policies.

 

  • To design, evaluate and modify benefits policies to ensure that programs are in line with market practices, competitive and in compliance with statutory requirements.
  • To perform deep analysis on effectiveness and competitiveness of existing compensation programs and model potential impact of alternatives.
  • Partner and consult with internal and external stakeholders related to payroll/benefits: legal, tax, procurement, finance, business to accomplish initiatives.
  • Evaluate and direct innovative solutions for existing compensation and benefits programs through research, surveys, and analysis of trends and/or vendor management to ensure plans are competitive.
  • To develop, recommend and administer approved policies and procedures in People & Culture, employee relations and related issues that are consistent with strategic plans and objectives.
  • To conduct job evaluations using market data and internal evaluation, and regularly analyze our market position on jobs; make recommendations on market adjustments.
  • Research and formulate recommendations on external and internal employment offers, job leveling, and internal equity adjustments through the use of salary surveys and internal compensation tools.
  • To check, monitor and approve consolidated monthly payroll for all employees across the company on time and ensure accurate cost allocations.
  • Leading numerous processes, with support of the Payroll Manager, regarding the local payroll; ensure integrity, compliance, functional ownership; ensure benefits for the entire population are accurate as per policies.
  • The incumbent will, with the support of the Payroll Manager, lead proper segregation of duties with a key and important objective which is managing the complex payroll process and ensure salaries are paid on time and accurately with complete reporting for compliance purposes.
  • To prepare and maintain budget Company’s Labor Cost plan in cooperation with Finance to establish manpower planning guideless. Provide cost analysis and wages information as required with strong support of the People & Culture Head /  People & Culture Director.
  • To ensure all statutory required reporting is accurate and timely filed as well as internal JTI reporting.
  • Ensure proper compensation handling for International, Short-term, Rotational and Development Assignee's according to JTI policies & procedures in close cooperation with the GM-Team and the relevant tax consultants.
  • Act as a stakeholder's consultant to provide expertise both on a business policies/procedures and payroll. This includes advisory to internal and external stakeholders such as Global mobility team, Mercer, local/global Management, Payments provider.
  • Implement and establish HRIS system, including attendance/leave functionality. Ensure high level quality of HRIS data and timely global and local reporting.

 

 

 

 REQUIREMENTS:

 

Educational:

  • At least graduation from any reputed university.

Experience:

  • At least 6 years of experience in the field of HR specially in compensation and benefits management, Payroll and taxation systems

Relevant Knowledge & Skills

  • Vast knowledge in Human Resource Management
  • Good knowledge in Job Evaluation, Payroll systems
  • Ability to use Excel to provide ad hoc information from the human resource / payroll system.
  • Fluency in English with excellent written and oral skills.
  • Excellent computer skills with proven proficiency in MS office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). 
  • HR SAP experience would be preferred.
