Engineering Projects & Facilities Manag

 

Purpose of the rol

Lead capital investment activities for the factory - production equipment installation, construction works, building and utilities, power and automation. Personally manages CapEx (capital expenditure) projects. Plans and executes related budgets. Support maintenance and technical services of all factory areas, buildings and utility equipment in accordance with safety and environmental requirements for the purpose of ensuring availability of all necessary resources for production and other equipment

 

Responsibilities

  • Ensures safe, effective and timely implementation of capital investment projects at factory (support Engineering Manager with Installations, conversions, filter making, B&U, power and automation equipment). Manages global suppliers: Koerber, Focke, GD, IMA, Adeba and others. Performs control of contractors during insatllation/construction stage.
  • Prepares budget justifications together with project customers, makes ROI calculations and designs BAP templates for further top management budget approval.
  • Responsible for planning of CapEx budget for engineering department: monthly, yearly budget preparation for maintenance and troubleshooting.Collects all internal and external requirements for CapEx implementation and makes planning and justification of incoming requests. Reporting the budget to engineering depratment manager. Participates in APS proccess. Consolidates all CapEx activities from other departments: B&U and electrical
  • Cooperates with JTI international functions: global engineering, global EHS, global procurement, new product development, R&D product development, R&D technical services.
  • Support all facility maintenance corrective and preventative activities: ensuring that all building and utilities equipment (including Electrical systems, lightning, grounding, HVAC, fans, AC units, air compressors, boilers, pumps, filters, heat exchangers and etc.) and engineering systems meet present and future needs in terms of efficiency, machine utilization, capacity utilization. Ensure reliable electrical supply, provide production and transportation of necessary energy resources: compressed air, gas, conditioned air for production, warehouses and administration areas.
  • Be accountable for for energy consumption for facilities. 
  • Ensure full compliance with local legislation, company policies and ISO requirements and procedures.
  • Design, implement and maintain effective applicable Maintenance systems and processes, to further improve productivity, efficiency, energy consumption and reduce cost
  • Controls proper asset management: EAM, put in use schedule, write off. Cooperates with responsible functions and provides managerial support to engineering department during cooperation with: Procurement, Financial, HR, EHS, Quality, Production, MS departments and ect.
  • Performs management of direct reports: tasking, training needs, job description preparation, motivation and control. Ensures availability of licenses and certificates required by local legislation for direct reports for safe operation on hazardous equipment.
  • Implements and ensures effective application of continuous improvement processes: 5S3R, energy management, new technologies, EHS initiatives, suggestion system and others.
    Lead implemplementation of IWS. Provide support for any other initiatives or request from line manager

 

Requirement

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering from reputed Universit
  • 5+ years in managerial position, with experience of maintenance management in industrial factories, good knowledge and experience on machinery, building and utilities standards, EHS;
  • Fluency in English (Oral and written); PC literacy : MS Office, active usage of AutoCAD.
    Basic financial skills, Management skill
  • Good basic understanding of the core business, Good leadership skills, Self-Motivated, Ability to work in a team environment,
  • Above average communication skills (verbally and written), Perficient Computer skills (word, excel, AutoCad and power point), Ability to manage multiple task at once, Open minded, Willingness to listen and learn, above average Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Skills.
