Trade Marketer

 

 

In this role, you will provide territory cover across the Irish Market Sales Force (short or long term) to ensure JTI's continuity of service. You will maintain the flexibility required to move to an assigned territory (as determined by Sales Management) to effectively execute in-store activity, maximise consumer off-take of JTI products and achieve business objectives incl. Sales, Distribution & Availability and SoM Targets. Finally, you will identify, develop and implement initiatives within their assigned territory across all channels to further support cycle planning, quarterly plans and corporate & brand objectives.  

 

 

Position

 

As a Trade Marketer, you will: 

 

  • Achieve agreed volume & distribution targets (across traditional Tobacco and Reduced Risk Product categories) through flexibility, innovation and realising both volume and share of market potential within the territory of responsibility 
  • Effectively utilise and record (with 100% accuracy) all aspects of TME to drive performance of JTI's brands in engaged categories, capturing all relevant data in support of in-store activity 
  • utilise all available analytical tools to identify business opportunities, develop territory quarterly plans, identify resource requirements (people and investment) and identify potential impact (volume, profit, SOM, ROI etc.)
  • Identify all potential local opportunities within their territory and feed back to the Cycle Planning Team 
  • Implement in full cycle objectives as agreed and communicated by the Area Sales Manager.  Ensure the routing and scheduling of trade visits are planned in the most optimal way to deliver the cycle objectives 
  • Achieve the optimum range and stock holding of JTI brands within our own and competitor in-store equipment, addressing any stock distribution and availability issues (with a particular focus on the territory's to Key Focus SKUs)
  • Liaise with the Regional Logic Specialist to identify opportunities to accelerate Logic performance within their territory

 

Requirements

 

  • University degree, equivalent or relevant work experience 
  • Proven and solid experience in Sales / Trade Marketing and Merchandising for a period of no less than two years
  • Relevant FMCG experience with good overall understanding
  • IT skills, Siebel sales, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Spoken and written English
