Sales Analysis and Planning Manager Global Travel Retail
The Sales Analysis and Planning Manager is responsible for analyzing sales performance and KPIs using GTR BI tools (TM1, TME, Power BI, S4L) to support strategic sales forecasting and identify opportunities for new launches.
The role requires strong analytical skills, comfort working with large datasets, adherence to deadlines, and collaboration across regions. You’ll provide actionable sales insights to support decision-making and understand market dynamics.
You will summarize data from various sources, highlight key business drivers, and gather market input to improve reporting systems and processes. The role includes managing data uploads, ensuring data integrity, and acting as Power User for BI tools.
This position combines market-specific responsibilities with central project involvement.
Position:
The Sales Analysis and Planning Manager will be responsible for:
- Reporting: Support business decisions with relevant KPIs and insights using IT solutions; create reports and collaborate with functions as needed. Advise on report requests for business-wide use. Analyze and report team performance. Consult on LMD (Legitimate Markets Demand) submissions. Support Portfolio team in SKU rationalization reviews to optimize portfolios.
- Insights/Analysis: Establish reliable data collection and review data regularly to identify improvements. Design and produce insightful Power BI reports, consolidating info from various sources. Identify trends, assess data quality, remove irrelevant data, and seek business expertise to find solutions. Communicate analysis results to support decisions.
- Sales Planning Support: Provide sales team with annual, quarterly, and monthly brand/product analysis and planning before and after forecasting cycles. Flag trends, write-off risks, and coordinate shared SKU allocation by customer.
- TME Mobile App Power User: Act as Power User for TME Mobile App—manage system usage, user setup, and train Retail Sales Consultants. Support Data Management Team with new app testing and pilot projects. Provide technical support for devices, applications, and connectivity. Act as initial point of contact for TME and Power BI, sharing knowledge and best practices across markets. Support report testing for releases, ensure data accuracy, and report errors/changes to Data Management Team.
Requirements:
- University degree or equivalent (preferred)
- 5 years’ experience in data analysis, sales & distribution, channel management, trade marketing, and promotions, with cross-cultural exposure; industry knowledge is a plus
- Fluent in English; additional languages a plus
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office 365 (PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI, SharePoint, Teams) and other systems
- Strong analytical skills with knowledge of sales analysis methods
- Effective communication and presentation abilities
- Experience in project and cross-functional team management
