Legal Manager Middle East
You will be responsible for providing legal guidance and business-oriented support across JTI Middle East Cluster markets, ensuring compliance with local laws, corporate policies, and international regulations while enabling sustainable business growth. The role acts as a key legal partner to business stakeholders, supporting commercial initiatives, contract management, regulatory matters, and legal risk mitigation across the region.
Position:
As a Legal Manager, you will:
- Provide legal counsel, guidance, and support to internal stakeholders across multiple functions and markets within the Middle East Cluster.
- Research, monitor, and assess local legislation and regulatory developments, ensuring business activities remain compliant with applicable laws and internal policies.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a broad range of commercial agreements and legal documentation supporting business operations.
- Partner with the Legal Director on contractual, sales, distribution, and promotional matters across Middle East markets.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of Competition Law policies and International Economic Sanctions requirements across the cluster.
- Develop and deliver legal compliance and policy training to enhance legal awareness among stakeholders.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel and manage legal matters related to regulatory and business projects.
- Oversee contract management processes, legal reporting activities, and legal governance initiatives within the Middle East Cluster.
- Lead or contribute to strategic legal projects and other initiatives as assigned by management
Requirements:
- Law Degree from an accredited Law School.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant legal experience in a law firm and/or multinational corporation.
- Demonstrated expertise in international business transactions, contracts, trade, distribution, and competition/antitrust law.
- Exposure to regulatory, finance, and international law matters is considered an advantage.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is required; Arabic is a strong asset.
- Strong negotiation, communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a multicultural and complex business environment.
- Strong analytical thinking, legal research, problem-solving, and business partnering capabilities, high level of integrity, ownership, and sound professional judgment
