ENERGY & SUSTAINABILITY ENGINEER

 

Purpose of the role:

Lead the planning and control of energy resources for the factory, ensuring efficient, safe, and sustainable operations in line with JTI’s standards and Global Supply Chain (GSC) KPIs

 

Areas of responsibility

 

CapEx Projects support

  • Support safe, effective and timely implementation of capital investment projects related to energy  improvement at factory (support Engineering Manager with calculations required). Provide ideas for energy usage improvements. Performs control of contractors during insatllation/construction stage.

 

KPI's Responsibility

  • Responsible for planning and control of Energy resources for factory: monthly, yearly budget preparation for energy, energy reduction initiatives. Reporting the budget to engineering depratment manager. Participates in ASP proccess (Approve Energy KPI's with EHS department).
  • Be accountable for for energy consumption. Initiates and realizes necessary actions for achievement of set KPI's.
  • Create purchase orders in SAP for new orders related with energy reduction and control payments for suppliers.

 

Production Process Responsibility

  • Support all facility maintenance corrective and preventative activities with Building manager: ensuring that all building and utilities equipment (including Electrical systems, lightning, grounding, HVAC, fans, AC units, air compressors, boilers, pumps, filters, heat exchangers and etc.) and engineering systems meet present and future needs in terms of efficiency, machine utilization, capacity utilization.
  • Ensure reliable electrical supply, provide production and transportation of necessary energy resources: compressed air, gas, conditioned air for production, warehouses and administration areas.
  • Ensure full compliance with local legislation, company policies and ISO requirements and procedures.
  • Ensure daily business activities in utilities equipment and provide necessary reporting and/or documentation.
    Support EHS function for waste management, enviromental permits and evaluate hazards accros factory (lighting level, noize, dust and etc.).
  • Cooperates with responsible functions and provides managerial support to engineering department during cooperation with: Procurement, Finance, HR, EHS, Quality, Production, MS departments.

 

IWS

  • Develop the operating teams’ technical understanding and capability. Act as Process Lead for Building and Utilities.
    Be responsible of the following DMS (Daily Management Systems): Centerline (Adjustment Centering), Weekly DDS, 90 days plan, DDS (Daily direction Setting).
  • Attend DDS (Daily Direction Setting) Meetings and spread IWS DDS structure according to deployment plan.
  • Coordinate all technical activities with Environment Health & Safety guidelines and ensuring 5S3R standards.
  • Particpate in LE pillar/assgined SWP and doing all action required from the PDCA's following the qualification process for the Cell lead skills role.

 

Talent Managament Responsibility

  • Support and develop engineering team members in energy utilization: tasking, training needs, motivation and control.

 

Financial Responsibility

  • Perfom necessary actions to establish assets and spare parts management: SAP, ordering process and write off.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a reputed university.

  • Proven experience in energy management or industrial engineering roles within a manufacturing environment is preferred.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to operational efficiency and safety.

  • Good communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
