Planning and Purchasing Specialist
Join our team to play a key role in ensuring efficient material planning and purchasing processes that support smooth factory operations and innovation!
What you will do:
• Lead short, mid, and long-term material requirements planning for tobacco and non-tobacco materials based on forecasts, specs, inventory targets, and shelf life.
• Manage purchasing activities: issue and follow up on POs, confirm orders, handle deliveries, resolve invoice queries, and maintain accurate SAP data.
• Optimize inventory levels and turnover while minimizing write-offs.
• Collaborate across departments (Planning, R&D, Procurement, Quality, Finance, Production) to ensure seamless operations and continuous improvement.
• Support new product launches and projects by ensuring timely material readiness and technical coordination.
• Drive cost optimization initiatives and supplier performance, including defect resolution and improvement actions.
• Maintain accurate material master data and support the monthly planning cycle in IBP.
• Ensure safety, compliance, and adherence to company standards (EHS, ISO, 5S3R, Code of Conduct).
Who we are looking for:
A communicative team player, passionate about efficiency, continuous improvement, and safe work practices, with:
• University degree, preferably in economics
• At least 2 years experience in a planning function, cross functional experience as a plus
• Fluent command of English, both written and spoken
• Strong background in supply chain planning and procurement (MRP, SAP knowledge a plus)
• Focus on details, excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
• Computer skills: MS Windows & MS Office (advanced Excel skills), SAP System knowledge
