GSC Corporate Security Manager, Danville
Purpose of the role
The incumbent is the security lead, representing Corporate Security within the RMC Factory and US Leaf Operations advising RMC Factory & Leaf Operations Leads & Management Teams. He/she is also a member of the Americas Regional Corporate Security Team.
The position provides support to all JTI business entities, operations and projects within his/her specified Area of Responsibility (AOR). This AOR addresses all facets of the security program including development, review and maintenance with a risk-based and cost-effective approach which must add value to JTI.
Responsibilities
Risk and Crisis Management
- The incumbent leads the development and maintenance of security processes and policies to reduce risk, support incident response, and limit business exposure, including the management of the Security Risk Register and related actions.
- The incumbent contributes to crisis readiness and response as a core member of the Leaf and RMC Crisis Management Teams, providing security support during incidents, delivering training to sites and teams, and sharing recommendations based on external trends and best practices.
People and Asset Security
- The incumbent manages security support across the assigned GSC operations in Danville, working with contracted teams, site security contacts, and external vendors to ensure the safety of executives, employees, visitors, and stakeholders, both on-site and during business travel.
- The incumbent provides broader security support through travel briefings, event and transportation guidance, audit and supply chain security follow-up, and the investigation of security-related incidents, in coordination with internal functions such as Compliance, Legal, People & Culture, and Corporate Audit.
Networking
- Internally - maintain and develop effective working relationships with the members of the Danville RMC and Leaf Operations Management Teams, CS colleagues and market leads. Brief’s Leaf and RMC leads on the status of security issues and emerging threats as required.
- Externally - develops relationships with local law enforcement, business partners, and counterparts.
Financial Management
- The incumbent is expected to exercise and efficient financial management of the assigned cluster market security program which requires planning and presentation of an annual budget (OL, LE, ASP), updates on budget within regular intervals (outlooks) and providing appropriate reports on YTD actuals and variances.
- Oversees the management of local contracts with security service vendors for guarding operations, technology applications and specialized consulting and investigative support.
Talent Management
- The incumbent will play an active role in his/ her continued development within the CS Talent Development Program.
Requirements
- University degree or equivalent which could be exceptional experience and achievement.
- At least 5 years’ experience within a military, law enforcement or intelligence organization, or private sector corporate security experience.
- Fluency in English and the local language is required.
- Proficiency in PC applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is required.
