Accounting Manager
Position purpose:
Accountable for J-SOX and internal controls execution related to Ready Made Cigarettes (RMC) and Contract Manufacturing Agreement (CMA), statutory reporting including reporting to Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) and other governmental organizations related to RMC and CMA, Key Account Reconciliation (KAR), Balance Sheet accounts analysis and Market Free Cash Flow (MFCF) planning and analysis.
What will you do – responsibilities:
- J-SOX and internal controls execution related to Ready Made Cigarettes (RMC) and Contract Manufacturing Agreement (CMA). Manage timely internal controls implementation and governance (i.e.. control walkthroughs). Project manager for internal audits, responding to requests from internal auditors, and implementation of recommended audit findings if necessary;
- Statutory reporting including reporting to Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) and other governmental organizations related to RMC and CMA operations. Ensure that all reports are submitted timely and accurately (monthly production, export, DEQ data.). Coordinate from Finance side the write-off and destruction process including necessary reporting (forms, BAP/Memo preparation, filing with the authority);
- Reporting and Controls: Review monthly Key Account Reconciliations (KAR) related to RMC and CMA. Analysis of GR/IR accounts in SAP to ensure that large sums do not accumulate over long period of time on these accounts. Review and create policies and procedures and ensure they are communicated and followed;
- Lead all annual stock counts (Leaf, NTM, FG, Spare parts) and fixed assets counts (every 3 years) and ensure that all discrepancies are identified, approved and recorded timely and correctly. Lead spare parts (SP) controls implementation for all departments. Provide support with SP stocks reconciliation and timely invoice payments to Suppliers;
- Market Free Cash Flow (MFCF) planning and analysis and Intercompany planning and actual costs cross charges related to RMC and CMA. Participate in testing of new flows in SAP related to both projects as needed. R2R SAP module power user.
Who are we looking for – requirements:
- Degree in Accounting or professional qualification and member of a recognized professional body;
- Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in multi-national consumer goods organization. Internal controls experience preferably. Well organized accountant detailed and analytical person;
- Fluency in English is essential to liaise with other departments and service centers;
- SAP knowledge and experience in advance Excel, PowerPoint. Power BI will be added advantage. Highly skilled analytical thinker with good communication skills.
