Trade Activation Lead Manager (m/f/d)

 

Position:

The Trade Activation Lead Manager leads the team responsible for designing, executing, and optimizing trade activations across the trade journey. They define and orchestrate the end-to-end trade journey strategy — ensuring that engagement, visibility, education, and incentive programs strengthen brand presence & partner advocacy. They guide the team from activation ideation through execution and performance improvement, guaranteeing excellence in execution at the point of sale.

 

Responsibilities:

As the Trade Activation Lead Manager, you will be responsible for…

  • Trade Strategy & Orchestration: Design and lead the trade journey framework, integrating visibility, education, and engagement activities to support the funnel from distribution to conversion.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as a connector between Sales, Brand, Retail, and Consumer Journey teams to ensure alignment of partner-facing and consumer-facing strategies.
  • Performance & ROI Optimization: Define and track trade KPIs, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Experience Governance: Establish trade visibility and engagement standards and provide executional excellence through audits and compliance reporting.
  • Collaboration & Influence: Partner closely with all Marketing functions and relevant Sales teams to guarantee end-to-end consumer/trade partner centric activations, aligned within the overall marketing ecosystem.
  • Team Leadership & Capability Building: Develop and coach managers and associates to deliver consistent, partner-centric excellence in all trade interactions.

 

Requirements:

  • University degree in Business Administration, Marketing or similar
  • Proven experience in FMCG marketing across disciplines, preferably in Brand Marketing/Trade Activation, including leadership experience
  • Strong organizational skills & a problem-solving attitude
  • Fluent English, good command of German or French is a plus
