Finance Trainee – Factory Controlling (m/f/d)

A unique opportunity to start your career in Finance and Controlling at JTI Dagmersellen! Looking to gain hands-on experience in finance within an international manufacturing environment? As a Finance Trainee – Factory Controlling, you will support our Factory Finance team in providing meaningful financial insights for business decisions, cost optimization, planning, and reporting. This position is designed for students or recent graduates who are passionate about finance, controlling, data analysis, and working closely with the business.

During your time with us, you will work closely with experienced Finance professionals and gain valuable exposure to factory controlling, financial planning, reporting, and investment projects within an international manufacturing environment. From day one, you will contribute to real business challenges by supporting factory projects, CAPEX planning and reporting, fixed asset controlling, factory cost analysis, and Free Cash Flow planning. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with different functions across the factory, including Engineering and Maintenance & Repair. This role will help you develop practical experience in Finance and Controlling while building strong analytical, business partnering, and stakeholder management skills. 

Your key responsibilities

• Support the financial controlling of factory projects, including project economics, CAPEX planning, forecasting, analysis, and reporting
• Contribute to fixed asset controlling, including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, transfers, and asset-related reporting
• Support factory market and conversion cost planning, analysis, monitoring, and reporting
• Contribute to Free Cash Flow planning and analysis in collaboration with relevant business functions
• Support additional controlling activities related to inventories, spare parts, product costing, and other factory finance topics

Is it a match?

• You're currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Finance, Accounting, Controlling, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
• You have a good theoretical understanding of finance and are eager to apply it in a real business environment
• You're analytical, structured, and comfortable working with complex topics and financial data
• You're proactive, collaborative, and enjoy working with different teams and stakeholders
• You have strong MS Office skills, particularly in Excel
• You're comfortable working in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and deadlines
• You're fluent in English. German is a strong plus
