Data Operations Manager (m/f/d)

 

Position:

We’re looking for a Data Operations Manager who ensures that reliable, high-quality data flows across the organization. You will manage the core data operations that enable fast, confident decision-making and help teams turn data into business value.

 

Responsibilities:

As the Data Operations Manager, you will…

  • Oversee daily operations of data platforms and pipelines to deliver accurate, timely data to business teams.
  • Track and report on operational KPIs such as data uptime, freshness, and incident response.
  • Define SLAs, standards, and escalation processes with IT, data engineering, analytics, and governance.
  • Drive automation and efficiency improvements, with a focus on the Swiss market.
  • Ensure compliance with Swiss market data law, data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a key partner to marketing stakeholders, ensuring their data needs are understood and met.

 

Requirements:

  • University degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Management or similar
  • Proven experience in data operations, data science, data management, IT project management roles
  • Solid experience managing data pipelines, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and ETL/ELT tools, as well as a background in monitoring, incident management, and operational support, will be a plus
  • Strong understanding of data lifecycle management, governance, and quality monitoring and familiarity with modern data warehouses/lakes (Snowflake, Redshift, Big Query, Databricks) is a must
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and governance skills
  • Fluent English, good command of German or French is a plus
