Position Purpose

JTI USA is presently seeking a Retail Operations Lead to join our team. The role is responsible for executing the outsourcing strategy of JTI USA. The role will focus on the training and development of external entities, delivering actionable materials, and the implementation of JTI USA's retail plan in key accounts. The position requires a minimum of 70% travel to ensure optimal ROI with high-level execution at retail.

 

This position has the flexibility of working remote anywhere in the U.S., requires a minimum of 70% travel across the U.S. and will require checking in to our Teaneck, NJ office when necessary.

 

Responsibilities

  • Training and development:

Ensure proper execution of retail activities performed by external suppliers through the implementation of a training program during field visits. Monitor supplier performance through follow up visits and reporting tools.

  • Process management:

Maintain established business processes for the effective delivery of related information to all necessary parties. Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders to build the efficiency of their role.

  • Cross-functional collaboration:

Work closely with the Key Account Team, Trade Marketing and other functional areas to gather insight, create actionable materials, and convey desired outputs.

  • Retail management:

Create a process for organizing, tracking, and executing essential retail activities to foster JTI USA business in targeted outlets. Perform retail account duties as needed.

 

Functional Skills

Adept at training and motivating others. Effective use of strategic thinking and persuasive communication. Ability to develop and present compelling business rationale. Detail orientation and solid organizational skills. Microsoft Office suite skills required

 

Qualifications & Experience

 

  • BA/BS Degree required
  • 5+ years tobacco (preferred) or FMCG experience in a sales related role that includes interaction with field sales and trade customers. 3rd party vendor management and key account experience is a plus.
  • Fluent in English
