We are looking for a Communications Manager (m/f/d) to strengthen our Corporate Affairs and Communications team in Cologne.

Your Job Mission: 

As Communications Manager, you will shape and deliver integrated internal and external communications for JTI Germany. Working closely with the German market leadership and the Trier factory management team, you will engage employees around JTI’s purpose and strategic direction, strengthen the employer brand, and communicate JTI’s business, product, sustainability and community investment initiatives to external audiences.

You are an experienced Communications Manager with a passion for communications, brands and audiences, and a strong drive to continuously enhance JTI’s corporate image. You will join a dynamic and diverse team in a fast‑paced environment and play a key role in shaping communications for a company with more than 1,800 employees at its Trier site, over 100 colleagues at the Cologne headquarters, and around 200 employees in the nationwide field force.

Your talent - Communication and Organization

• University degree in communications, politics or other related fields
• Solid experience in internal and external communications, including media relations and digital channels
• Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work cross-functionally
• Can do attitude with solution-oriented mindset
• 3-5 years of experience in FMCG industry is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and solid English skills
• Structured, proactive working style with high quality standards

Your tasks - exciting and diverse

• Develop and implement an integrated communications strategy in close collaboration with the German market leadership and Trier factory management teams
• Lead internal communications initiatives that inform, inspire and engage employees across both market and factory environments
• Deliver employer branding communications in close partnership with the People & Culture team
• Lead Ploom‑related communications campaigns in collaboration with the Marketing team, ensuring strategic alignment and regulatory compliance
• Communicate Community Investment and Sustainability initiatives together with the Community Investment Manager
• Ensure consistent messaging, foster strong stakeholder engagement and actively support the protection of JTI’s corporate reputation
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders across the market organization, Trier factory and headquarters
