Your job mission:

To strengthen our Strategic Insights department in Cologne, we are looking for you as a student assistant (m/f/d) to start immediately. As a responsible and committed individual, you will support our Strategic Insights team in transforming data, market dynamics and consumer behaviour into stories that influence important decisions. Gain practical experience with modern business intelligence tools and improve your digital and analytical skills.

 

Your tasks – exciting and varied:

  • Maintaining and updating our Excel-based forecasting tool, integrating new data and supporting scenario analysis for strategic planning
  • Tracking and evaluating competitors' marketing activities and then translating your findings into a clear, insightful monthly overview
  • Analysing retail data to identify trends, track competitors and incorporate insights into our monthly performance reports
  • Supporting consumer research projects end-to-end to gain insights into real-world research methods and entrepreneurial thinking
  • Collaborating with managers on ad-hoc analyses and creating bespoke reports that influence decisions across the organisation

 

Your profile – communicative and organised:

  • Relevant education: You are a registered student (m/f/d) of business administration, marketing (with a focus on data) or a related field
  • Your availability: You are available immediately for at least 1 year and for 15-20 hours per week
  • Practical experience: Ideally, you already have some experience with analytics
  • Personal strengths: You enjoy working in a team, are communicative and highly flexible. You are also reliable, work precisely, independently and efficiently, and have a genuine interest in marketing, strategy and corporate decision-making
  • Language and application skills: You have a good command of written and spoken English and are experienced in using common Office programmes. Conversational German is an added bonus
