Responsibilities

  • The position will be responsible for managing the month-end closing for MEXGAAP and IFRS accounting and coordinating and controlling activities (Japan SOX) to ensure the financial results are reasonable and reported timely and accurately.

  • Lead the External Audit process

  • This position will assist in the development of the latest balance sheet forecasts, analyze actual results vs estimates and perform ad-hoc financial analysis as required. 

  • Control of balance sheet items vs forecast is now a core KPI as the Company is focusing on delivering on cashflow targets and will require working across the Finance Team to understand Trading movements such as Sales, Inventories, etc.

  • Additionally, the role will support the team daily to ensure accurate processing of purchase orders, issuing of invoices/ credit notes, verifying and posting cash receipts and proactively resolving amounts aged items with Credit and Logistics Teams.

  • Position will also be entitled to partner with Tax Department to ensure full and accurate compliance with Tax requirements on a timely basis.  A close relationship with Logistics department will be crucial to perform activities.    

 

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Higher Education in Finance, Accounting or Administration.
  • 6+ years in multinational companies in Accounting and 2+ years working as an auditor (or equivalent) in a Big Four Firm with high level of technical Accounting knowledge (debits and credits) and Accounting Standards (ideally IFRS).  
  • Strong knowledge in Leasings, Inventory, Deferred taxes, Intercompany transactions and familiar with headquarters reporting to a foreign partner.  
  • Either retail or Massive consumption products experiences are desirable.  Inventory-control experience either in manufacturing and/or commercial entities.  
  • Experience in either supervising or coordinating people is a plus.  
  • Previous experiences in ERP migration is desirable
  • Advanced English, Excellent Knowledge of Excel.

  • Knowledge & experience of working with an Accounting System (SAP/Oracle/ Microsoft Dynamics is a high plus).
