WORKSHOP TECHNICIAN

For the new tobacco factory in TETOUAN, we are seeking Workshop Technicians. This position is based on-site – Tetouan. You will be responsible for repairs and production of spareparts and tools required for smooth functionning of the tobacco lines.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

As a Workshop Technician, you will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on spare parts and standalone mechanisms, ensuring smooth operation of tobacco production lines. This includes managing spare part stock, ensuring tool availability, and supporting timely repairs to minimize downtime.

You will support 5S3R activities by conducting Kaizen studies to improve shop floor standards, while also coaching team members in technical troubleshooting and delivering on-the-job training in line with the training plan. You’ll ensure proper documentation and stock handling of spare parts and tools.

You will contribute to health and safety compliance by performing risk assessments, supporting safety training, and ensuring legal and JTI EHS requirements are met. You’ll also help with various tasks or projects assigned by management, including job rotations within technical functions.

EDUCATION

Technical Diploma (Specialized Methods Technician / Mechanical Fabrication Technician / General Maintenance Mechanic)

WORK EXPERIENCE

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role, with hands-on experience in cutting machines and strong mechanical skills

SKILLS

·      Good understanding of basic mechanical skills

·      Machine Operating Knowledge (Basic level)

·      Process Knowledge (Advanced level)

·      Product Knowledge (Advanced level)

·      Engineering & EHS Understanding (Operational level)

·      Manufacturing Performance Management (Basic level)

·      Pest Management (Basic level)

·      Languages: French or Arabic (required), English is a plus
