Frontend Developer

Position:

 

This position exists within the Digital Technology Department, inside the Global Development Center, within DIGITAL and IT function in JTI.

The DIGITECH department within the GDC is responsible for creating the scope and clarification of the digital technology and architecture strategy based on the business vision.

Frontend developer,  will be responsible for developing functionalities based on specification provided by business and market’s needs. Taking active participations in technical assessments in scope of required work. Ensuring that all information are provided from different entities to properly finalize initiatives.

Responsibilities:

 

Solutions implementation

 

  • Engage in the complete software development life cycle, and user-facing features using React.js within organizational constraints.
  • Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.
  • Optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers.
  • Develop and sustain software with a focus on performance and security requirements.
  • Create and maintain unit/component tests to guarantee software quality.
  • Create and maintain visual representations of created components inside storybook
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

Continuous improvement

 

  • Ensure that DES Operational Readiness principles are comprehended and applied by squad members.
  • Build and maintain a relevant engineering knowledge base and best practices within the squad.
  • Foster the engineering maturity of squad members across all product streams.

Collaboration

 

  • Work closely with back-end developers and web designers: This involves improving usability and ensuring that the front-end integrates well with the server-side of the application.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams: Work in multidisciplinary teams that include members from various technology teams (e.g., Web, Mobile, DevOps) to deliver and maintain apps or groups of apps.
  • Engaging in technical discussions and innovation: Staying up-to-date with emerging technologies, applying best practices in web development, and contributing to the creation of intuitive and dynamic user experiences.
  • Collaborate on project planning and execution: Work with product managers and business owners to refine roadmaps, prioritize backlogs, and ensure that the product delivers maximum value while maintaining low cost of ownership.
  • Maintain transparent communication: Using collaboration tools like MS Teams for communication within the workstream, ensuring that all team members are aligned and informed about the project's progress.

Requirements:

 

  • University Degree in Computer or Technical Science or strong IT background.
  • 3+ years of experience developing React.JS applications.
  • 3+ years of HTML front end stack (vanilla-JS, HTML5, CSS) development.
  • Experience in modern CSS frameworks (Tailwind/Bootstrap) and CSS3 (e.g., flexbox/grid layouts).
  • Experience in module bundlers, and trans pilers.
  • Good experience developing Single Page Applications.
  • Experience in state-management patterns and libraries (e.g. Redux/Vuex).
  • Experience in API integration and API mocking.
  • Experience in backend languages is a plus.
  • Experience in working with UI design management tools (eg. Figma/Sketch/Invision).
  • Autonomy in working with assets and visual (PSD files) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Solid knowledge of technology used within frontend solutions, specifically NextJS, Adobe stack (Magento & AEM), and Builder.io.
  • Fluent English (Written and spoken).
