EHS Specialist

 

 

 

What this position is about - Purpose:


The position is responsible for the activities related to occupational health and safety and those related to environmental protection for JTI Romania, by ensuring compliance with local and corporate requirements.
 

What you will do - Responsibilities:


•    Safety: Coordinate risk assessment per each type of position to drive a reduction in work-related injuries, investigate and report work-related accidents, prepare training materials for required operational controls periodical training. Keep annual training program updated with identified safety related losses and ensure adherence to schedule.
•    Occupational health: Review the risk exposure sheets for each type of position and communicates them to the occupational medicine service provider, facilitates the annual medical control. Monitor effectiveness of occupational health programs implemented upon recommendation and together with the health care provider.
•    EHS management system review: Plan and execute assigned Health Checks for EHS processes based on approved program. Ensure follow-up for Site Safety Action Plan (containing corrective/preventive actions generated from audits, Health Checks, investigations, incidents learning, factory tours, near misses) by responsible persons. Check if the labor protection sheets for factory employees are completed and signed according to the legal requirements.
•    Environment protection: Develop and implement programs aiming to improve selective waste management behaviors. Execute timely/qualitative reporting to authorities as well to corporate in dedicated platforms for all environmental related aspects. Monitors the waste management supplier activity and ensure all documents are in line with requirements. Ensure factory follow all requirements from Environmental work permit and applicable legislation and monitoring program.
•    Integrated Work System (IWS): Participate in the implementation of IWS requirements. 

 

Who we are looking for - Requirements:


•    University degree, preferably in technical fields
•    Minimum 2 years of experience in environment health and safety area in an industrial environment and in construction sites
•    Communicative level of English language
•    Good knowledge of applicable legislation
•    Good knowledge of MS Office applications
