What S&OP Program is about:

 

JTI Global Supply Chain Organization has launched E2E SC Integration Program to improve its End-to-End Supply Chain Capabilities so we can be faster, more efficient and more resilient when fueling JTI’s global vision.
In scope of the Athena Program JTI is building powerful strategy to improve its Sales and Operational planning (later S&OP) capabilities and to help our People and Organization to embark on the journey and to be an active part of the change. 
S&OP is the core decision-making and communication process for aligning our rolling operational plans with the financial plan. It is leveraged successfully by many peers and competitors to support growth, improve customer service, optimize costs and improve cash flow. Gartner research and benchmarking consistently identify S&OP as a critical foundation for a stronger, more resilient supply chain.  
In JTI, we have the key tools and there are pockets of process excellence, but the process is largely informal and not yet standardized across markets and regions. Even more importantly, we need to develop the right behaviors, leadership skills and competencies across the organization.  

JTI is looking for an experienced S&OP implementation experts to support S&OP blueprint deployment in JTI and amendment if needed based on fit gap analysis. Detailed S&OP process blueprint and implementation strategy have been developed and ready for deployment. 

 

 

 

Position purpose:

 

The S&OP Program Project Manager will be instrumental in managing co-creation and design of the new S&OP as well as introducing it across the company following a phased approach according to the roll out plan. This role will involve close collaboration with an external consultant to learn and integrate best practices into our operations as well as building process capability internally.

 

What will you do – responsibilities:

 

  • S&OP Process Rollout & Project management: Follow the agreed blueprint, manage the phased rollout of the S&OP process across the organization according to a wave-based approach. Ensure the effective execution of each phase and address any issues that arise. Develop detailed project plans, manage timelines, and oversee deliverables for each rollout phase. Track progress, resolve issues, and ensure milestones are achieved. Monitor business dynamics and performance data to identify and implement necessary adjustments to the S&OP plan. Adapt strategies based on evolving business needs and feedback.
  • S&OP cycle execution: Ensure Successful execution of S&OP process cycle to achieve process objectives across key areas and functions as welll as promoting the end-to-end supply chain mindset. Serve as a central liaison between stakeholders, facilitating consensus on critical decisions regarding supply-demand balancing and ensuring alignment of plans with business strategy and financial targets. Engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including Market leaders (General Managers & local Executive Committee functions), Regional teams, Finance, Supply Chain, R&D, and others.
  • Consultant Collaboration: Work closely with our external partner to implement and adapt the S&OP framework. Learn and integrate best practices from the consultants, ensuring these practices are effectively applied within the company.
  • Change Management: Support change management efforts to facilitate the transition to the new S&OP process. Address stakeholder concerns and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Center of Excellence (CoE) Contribution: Participate in the establishment and development of the S&OP Center of Excellence. Work on building internal capabilities. Share insights, best practices, and lessons learned from the consultant partnership to enhance the CoE’s capabilities and influence.

 

Who are we looking for – requirements:

 

  • University Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in commercial planning, business strategy, or related areas are a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in Commercial Planning roles, with a strong emphasis on Integrated Business Planning (IBP), demand forecasting, and market analysis
  • Proven expertise in developing and executing strategic plans to drive business growth and profitability
  • Previous experience in S&OP implementations or project management, with a demonstrated ability to manage complex process implementations and cross-functional collaboration. Strong track record of aligning commercial strategies with business objectives to optimize performance and achieve targets                                        
  • Fluent in spoken and written English, other languages are a plus                                          
  • In-depth Understanding of Planning Processes: Expertise in demand forecasting, market analysis, product portfolio management, and S&OP processes.
  • Analytical & Presentation Skills: Strong analytical abilities, with proficiency in building and presenting compelling stories and strategies.
  • Change & Project Management: Experience in managing change and leading projects to successful completion.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Proven ability to collaborate with external consultants and manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt plans and strategies based on evolving business needs and feedback.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in MS Office, Power BI, and proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP and IBP
