Planning Development Manager (STEM)
In this role you will ensure accurate, sustainable, and data-driven production and material planning, transforming operational data and business needs into feasible plans, clear analyses, and standardized reports.
You will play a key role in optimizing production capacity, inventory levels, and cross‑functional alignment, enabling the factory to meet its performance targets (KPIs), respond to customer demand, prevent stock‑out situations, and support operational continuity in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Position:
As a Planning Development Manager, you will carry out:
Detailed Planning :
- Maintain accurate and consistent planning master data to support smooth operations and better decision‑making
- Perform detailed SAP planning for materials, semi‑finished goods, and finished goods
- Monitor the production plan and material/SFG needs, taking timely actions to keep factory KPIs on target, meet customer demand, and prevent out‑of‑stock situations
Capacity Utilization:
- Review and update factory capacity utilization and propose alternatives to reduce bottlenecks.
- Lead capacity planning analyses to meet operational requirements while optimizing efficiency and costs.
- Analyze data and trends to identify issues and areas of concern.
Reporting:
- Develop and maintain operational and management reports using Power BI and other tools.
- Translate business needs into clear functional specifications for reporting solutions.
- Introduce improvements and innovations to support faster and better decision‑making.Develop dashboards that ensure transparency and a single source of truth across functions.
Requirements:
- University degree, and/or similar work experience in Supply Chain Planning & Operations
- 4 + years of experience in Supply Chain Planning (Demand or Supply) in a multinational company
- Ideal background is Demand Planners, Production Planning from factories
- Fluent in English (written & spoken). Any additional language(s) is/are an asset
- Advanced SAP ECC & APO user, BW (Business Warehouse) experience required, SAP IBP knowledge (Integrated Business Planning) is a nice to have advantage
- MS Office package
- Comfortable working in a volatile and demanding market environment
- Effective interpersonal skills in building strong relationships within the team and with key stakeholders (e.g. markets, factories)
- Global mobility to join other locations (planning functions or factory planning teams) across the world as a next step
- Digital dexterity (The ability and willingness to adopt, use, and continuously evolve digital tools, data, and analytics to enable effective, data-driven supply chain planning and decision-making)
- Leadership skills (in simple terms): communication, collaboration, strategy, resilience and ownership
